Regular Member consequence Posted June 1, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted June 1, 2023 I came across this sentence on a Turkish surgeon's FUE site. Is there any scientific basis behind this claim? Like something that's been shown in humans on a larger scale? Or is this just folksy alternative medicine nonsense? Building a casa de papel with Dr. Couto: my 1700 FUE in Madrid. Regular Member BackFromTheBrink Posted June 1, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted June 1, 2023 I don't understand the protein one at all. Should I change my diet so that I don't eat protein heavy foods too?
Senior Member StillAlive Posted June 1, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted June 1, 2023 Pure nonsense. Proteins and amino acids are necessary to our diet. All things in moderation but to call that out to make yourself sound competent, is ridiculous. I'd steer clear of whatever 'doctor' posted that.

AlexBarkat
Avoiding certain supplements like amino acids and proteins for the initial month is common advice to prevent potential interference with follicle healing. Have you considered incorporating the best organic whey protein powder later in your recovery? It could offer valuable nutrients to support hair health once you've passed the critical post-transplant period. Always consult your doctor for personalized advice.
