AJ B
Hi all, hope everyone is doing fine. I have a quick question for you my friends. I got my HT done last week Dec 1 and yesterday was my first head wash. however, I had been getting some itching in my scalp day 5 onwards - I tried avoid touching the scalp, but I couldn’t resist myself yesterday after the head wash (during the head wash some of the scabs were already removed) and I started rubbing my recipient area very gently. A lot of scabs also came off with this rubbing. I just wanted to check with you guys that by doing this I didn’t ruin my grafts. I hardly saw any hair with those scabs that came off with my rubbing. thank you in advance for your feedback. Best, AJ
Senior Member Chetman2112 Posted December 9, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted December 9, 2022 If you didn’t have any blood you’re most likely fine, from my understanding when you lose a graft you get a decent amount of blood, as for the itching try taking Benadryl at night, did wonders for me. Regular Member ray35 Posted December 9, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted December 9, 2022 Day five you should be good... it's crazy with so many different takes on what day things are secure. Like @Chetman2112says no blood is a good sign, so I'd hang my hat on that and not worry.
AJ B
Thank you very much @Chetman2112 @ray35 guys. That gives me some relief as there was no blood in case and I think my recipient and donor, both healed pretty quickly!
