I think youre exactly where 5 months should be at. Your hair contrast doesnt help in terms of density. But you seem to be on the slower side of growth. I understand its difficult to compare yourself to others but you have to remember its not what is intended and I am glad you were able to update us.

I think you might have had some shockloss around your native hairs when looking at your photos so it might have caused some thinner areas to be more exaggerated. Dont fret once you hit later months you should begin to see more development.

How is your donor looking and feeling so far?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Donor looks fine, I am able to get a fade to grade 1 without seeing any signs of a transplant.

Hope yours goes well, I’ll be following.

6 months

I’ve seen some improvements over the past month. Definitely the best month of growth so far. Hair is getting thicker and weak areas starting to fill in.

Happy with the progress up to now, hoping that the growth continues over the next few months. Photos taken in slightly harsher light than last time with no product in my hair.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Wow this is definitely a big improvement from month 5 in my opinion. I can’t tell if you have a some redness or if it’s lighting or a combination of both?

i think maybe by the end of summer you’ll have less redness from the sun and from the operation (if it still exists not sure)

but overall I think it’s coming along nicely. Previously I would’ve said your hair type isn’t going to have much density but it looks like I might be wrong. The fullness is definitely starting to piece together.

it may not look like it’s blending together but I think it’s shaping up nicely. You’re definitely on the slower side of growth so I would be excited for what the future holds.

would you mind posting some photos without any styling like your hair combed forward?

Also another thing I wanted to add was that I looked back at your pre op and post op and saw that you went for 40cm^2 with a ton of multi hairs so you definitely shouldn’t have high hopes of seeing a lot early on. So you would have more density than what you’re currently seeing.

just expect to see it all grow out slow and later since the hairs grow in different stages making it look completely full, some patchy, or a bit in between.

Yeah, I was thinking that the multiple grafts will start to kick in.

Also, I think the redness is just the lighting to be honest. Doesn’t seem too red to me.

Yeah I can understand I have some redness but only in photos under harsh lighting. I thought maybe the sun is making me a little red but I can’t see it with my naked eye.

nonetheless thanks for the update and the photos! I’m looking forward to your future updates.

Do you remember who did your operation?

for me I had elif for extractions and bekir for implantations

Dr Umut did the whole procedure for me. It’s come on again the last few weeks. I’ll update at 7 months in 10 days or so

Manual extraction, doctor does the whole procedure. I don’t think it’s very expensive when comparing with others. But everyone has their perception

Make sure you pick a clinic where you research intensively about how long they have done that practice and why they choose that method over others. Of course it’s not a requirement for what method however, knowing the difference between each result and how consistent they are with said results should be your comparables.

basically, look at the results of others, the doctor who did the procedure, whether it’s a doctor or tech, and compare it to other places you are interested.

^ this is a very well said thing that isn’t spoken often. Everyone has different price points but I would say only a small minority, of people, understand that expense should NOT be the biggest factor for a life altering procedure. Whether that’s an extra $1-1,000+ the difference in surgeons/doctors are night and day (especially the ones at slightly higher price points ex: $2.5 vs 3.5)

It is not really expensive. Dr Konior is 15 dollars a graft if I understood well. Dr Zarev is 4 euros a graft, same goes with Dr Pittella.

These are the 3 surgeons I would chose for my case
