Female hair transplants w good donor area

Hello. I am new here and have scheduled a transplant in 2 weeks and am quite nervous.  I have very good donor area very thick but have center front and mostly right temple loss that started after menopause, i had a biopsy which ruled out Frontal fibrosis, i do have auto immune thyroid hashimotos.  I have read auto immune dont do well w transplants(?), and i am scared to death of shock loss and my hair looking worse.  I had gone to 3 drs all who recommended it but my husband says naturally they would.   My question is is there any females with good donor areas who have done this and can they share their thoughts with me and also what procedure they had done fue or fut, i believe they planning fut with me.  I can still cancel!

Well... im not a female nor have I gotten a hair transplant. But in regards to shockloss, I have heard that administering PRP before the procedure can help the existing follicles, drugs like fin/dut can help if thats taken regularly (but im not sure in female cases), things like minoxidil can help but after x amount of days of the procedure. 

To my understanding hair loss caused by thyroid autoimmunity is reversible if your hormone levels are stabilized. Have you tried seeking a consultation from a dermatologist? 

Also considering if you did have a hair transplant most of those transplanted hairs would fall out into a shedding phase which is normal. This may cause some temporary shock loss but it really depends on the surgeons skill as well as your hair density. Thank you. I am on thyroid meds and even on fin the last 6 months which has helped a lot i think with loss, but not necessarily regrowth.   I do have very thick hair back/sides but lost lot of volume on top.  And especially one temple area lots of loss.  I am going back/forth with this but sometimes wake up in sweats thinking about the procedure and what if something goes wrong or hair doesnt grow back.

Here I am again. My hair loss is not diffuse which makes me think (hope?) a transplant will be successful, however i still am nervous about the procedure, i know female react differently than males and not all have been successful although from what i read i think it is primarily with diffuse loss.

Maybe you could post some pictures so others more knowledgeable than me could advise. You are right to be cautious, it’s something that’s very important to get right. Which doctor are you considering and have you carefully researched their previous ht work?
