Regular Member ramboshair Posted October 26, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted October 26, 2015 Hi mates, After lot of research felt like only propecia will save my current native hair . Before considering propecia would like to clear some of my queries that will help to play the game safe. Are there any tests that will help us to cross check whether we are effected with any of the Propecia sides. Planning to take 0.25mg propecia twice per week and check for 1 or 2 months. If I experience any sides will stop continuing Propecia .Is there any way we can cross check if the effected sides are short term or long term? Any suggestions for Propecia beginners will be highly appreciated.

Dr Blake Bloxham
Rambo, I'm not aware of any kind of testing you could undergo before hand to determine if you would experience side effects on finasteride. I think most would probably recommend starting at a low dose -- like you stated above -- and really monitoring closely. Make sure you discuss the medication thoroughly with a familiar physician before starting. Best of luck. Dr. Blake Bloxham is recommended by the Hair Transplant Network. Dr Blake Bloxham
If you have specific side effects, there are tests you can do to help determine if these are potentially related to hormones (IE Propecia) or another cause. But none, to my knowledge, that can really hone in on it any more specifically than this. Long story short, I really don't think there are any tests to address what you're really discussing here.
