Regular Member thewalker10 Posted June 28, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted June 28, 2015 Hello, I had my HT in Istanbul last Tuesday. I've been following my doctor's instructions but I was wondering if anybody could care to share his experience to ensure that my recovery went well. I've started applying a lotion on transplanted area 30 mins prior to shampooing it off using shampoo provided by the clinic, I feel some painful sensation and have continued taking Paracetanol 500, but at the same time, I've been sleeping a lot. Like 12 hrs/day for the past 2 days or so (mainly due to jet lag). Any tips/suggestions in regards to sleeping? I've been sleeping on my belly as I don't wish to risk losing or damaging transplanted hair on crown area. Thank you.
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted June 28, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted June 28, 2015 It's really difficult to say from the information you provided. Post-operative care instructions vary somewhat from clinic to clinic. We typically advise members to follow their doctor's instructions and it sounds like you're doing that. What sort of lotion are you putting on your head prior to shampooing? Also, its common for doctors to advise their patients to sleep at an incline, propped up with pillows after surgery rather than on their belly. Did your doctor discuss this with you? Regular Member thewalker10 Posted June 29, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 29, 2015 Yeah, I noticed that. Visited a number of websites. Each clinic seems to have different instructions. I'm using Bepanthol. 3rd shower today.
