damage from perming

I've had a hair transplant and was wondering is it safe to perm my hair ? Would it cause any damage to the hair follicles or cause permanent hair loss ?

Regimen: 5% Minoxidil twice a day (morning and night) on front hairline, Proscar (broken into 5 pieces) one piece every night. MSM 1000 Mg, Zinc 30 Mg, Vitamin E, Multi-Vitamin.

Baby Shampoo for showering.

Transplanted hair is no more at risk than any other hair but if this a recent hair transplant I'd wait till a couple of months post-op to be safe before applying any chemicals.

There is always a risk of damaging the hair and scalp when using chemicals but that risk is low if it's performed by a professional or someone with experience.

alright actually I'm a few years post op and was thinking of getting a perm . But if not done by a professional, than a perm could cause permanent hair loss ?

A perm, even done at home, is not likely to cause permanent damage to the scalp but any chemical processing has the potential to damage the hair and skin. Just follow the directions and you'll be just fine.

It would be extremely rare for it to cause any permanent damage.
