RedsoxFan1
Hi I have been taking Propecia and using Rogaine for 4-5 months and have noticed a significant increase in hair loss on the top and front of my head. Is this common and what can I expect going forward? Thanks very much.
Senior Member JohnnyDrama Posted October 29, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted October 29, 2013 Yes, this is quite common. The important thing is to ride this out. Too many people come off the meds at this point thinking it is just doing harm, before they allow a new growth cycle to begin. Shedding is believed by many to be a sign that your scalp is reacting positively to the medication, that the follicles are in a resting phase until (hopefully) a new, healthier hair is grown out in the coming months. I reckon someone needs to try a solid dose of meds for 9-12 months and then make a judgement call on whether or not they are having a positive effect. 2,200 FUE + PRP with Dr Bisanga - BHR Clinic, 22-23 August 2013 - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171950-my-fue-2-200-prp-dr-bisanga-bhr-clinic.html Current Regimen: - Rogaine 5% Foam 2x daily - Jasons Restorative Biotin Shampoo 2x daily / Nizoral 2% 2x weekly - Nettle Root 500mg, MSM 1500mg, Biotin 5mg, Multi Vit, Omega
