Regular Member OttawaJay Posted June 21, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted June 21, 2012 How long does the redness from hair transplant surgery usually last in the recipient area? Same question for scabs, scars and noticable scars. I'm really just wondering how long it'll be noticeable that I had the procedure done. I still have a reasonable amount hair, only need 2500 graphs, so it won't be glaringly obvious that I had a hair transplant done once the redness is gone. Senior Member Bucksred Posted June 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 21, 2012 This is a very common question, the only trouble is there is no text book answer, it depends upon your skin complection. From my experience at least a little over two months, a lot of people take msm to speed the pre existing hair to cover the transplanted area. Senior Member Bucksred Posted June 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 21, 2012 You can google it, meant to help existing hair grow faster, remember to check with your Dr it's okay. This is my opinion I'm not qualified. Regards Bucks
