Am I going bald?

Dear guys,

 

Would appreciate your help, recent I've been teased that I'm going bald. Have to say I never thought it would happen to me! There is no baldness on either side of my family. I love having slightly long hair for a guy, and known usually for having v good quality hair. Just coming up to 27th birthday.

 

In bright light my dark hair seems to be revealing a patch according to where I usual part my hair down the middle.

Also now dropping down the facebook rankings from 1st to 4th best hair! Could you let me me what you think and what I should do?

Yes you are.

You should start propecia and oral vitamins for 8 months and see the results, if needed add rogaine.

Many thanks Phil. I have been pretty stressed on and off for a while now, my scalp is a bit tingly (I also have psorasis which doesn't help!), I'm not sure what you mean by miniaturised hairs?

 

I'm seeing my doctor on the 9th June.

 

Definitely need to start more exercise and eat better. Can you recommend any sites for guidance on this?

I'm no expert, but my own loss included the miniaturized hairs, slight scalp pain and a slight pinkness in the area of loss.

 

-A deficiency in nutrition or excess stress can also cause temporary loss....I would check this out in your life first, evaluate your stress levels, make sure you eat a balanced diet, keep yourself in shape, maybe go see a dermatologist. Given your family history, you might want to rule these factors out before you start Propecia and Rogaine.
