HT in Manchester UK?

Hi there everyone, i am new to thie site and am finding it very useful, i am at the first stages of arranging to have a transplant,i live in manchester UK and wondered if anyone has any information on who i should be looking at to do my procedure?, this is obvoiusly very important to me and want to leave no stone unturned in my effort to find a doctor i can trust and that has my best intensions at heart.any help would be greatly appreciated

Dr Farjos expert opinion on Rooney and HT in general has been quoted in half the national press as well as radio interviews,BBC tv aswell as one of his patients appearing on "Lorraine" and "The One Show".

As Spex mentioned if you are near Manchester , a consult with the Farjos is a no brainer.

i have heard of dr farjo-its hard not to when you put ht in google-i was just asking to see if anyone had any other suggestions or is dr farjo the ultimate in the field local to me?

i have a few consults lined up and will let everyone know my feelings about them in the next few weeks

hi everyone

 

thanks for all the feedback, to let you know where i am up to;

i have had 2 consultaions, neather of which filled me with confidence, and further to this, reading about the places i have been , on the forums, i am well advised to stay away from them.

i have gotten a 3 month propecia prescription and have the minodoxil on order , and am going to give these 2 things 3 months, i have an appt at farjo's in august and am in correspondence with dr Devroye, who's work looks to be better than any i have found

1 of the consultaions i had was of use because i found out i have a thick enough donor area and i am now pretty much sure i will need between 3000-3500 grafts to mmake everything ok.

 

i am setting up a blog and will post piccies

Great advice from Spex there Birchy,who knows? 12 months on the meds and you could be one of the lucky few who responds well and regrows!!

In the mean time educate yourself on everything HT related and keep us posted.
