Guest
In addition to the great current literature and textbooks I have now, I am looking forward to getting the classic 1973 Norwood textbook. It is on it's way now in the mail. I wonder where Dr. Norwood is now. Last I heard, he was saying goodbye to the ISHRS journal as editor in a column which was in the '90s. I am also planning to go to next year's ISHRS meeting (my first one) and hopefully, I will meet some of the great surgeons listed on this site. Senior Member Robert_ Posted October 6, 2005 Senior Member Share Posted October 6, 2005 Dr. Norwood has retired. Dr. Blaine Lehr heads up the Norwood Lehr Hair Transplant Clinic in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma offering all follicular-unit hair transplantation at the price of $3 per graft. Here is what Dr. Norwood had to say about his understudy: "Over the last thirty years, I have been associated with, worked with, and in fact have trained many of the other leading hair transplant surgeons in the world. As the demand for my services increased, I knew I needed an associate, and I knew because of my reputation I could choose anyone. I did not want to sell out to one of the large nationwide franchises. You have no control over their integrity or the quality of their work. I first began working with Blaine in 1993. I recognized his natural ability immediately. Just as importantly, I found him to be honest in all circumstances. He is a hair transplant surgeon of the highest quality." -Robert ------------------------------ Check out the results of my surgical hair restoration performed by Dr. Jerry Cooley by visiting my Hair Loss Weblog
Guest
Dr. Norwood was clearly one of the great leaders in the field. I'm sure that the successor that he picked is a great hair transplant surgeon. You really can't go wrong there.
