Regular Member MikeN Posted May 1, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted May 1, 2008 I'm 3 months out and have had a tremendous amount of shock loss. The majority of the loss occured on the hairline, top and crown. However, I did have some shock loss above my left ear around the donor strip. The shock loss in the donor area wasn't as drastic as the shock loss in the recipient area. As I understand it, the shock loss hairs should come back unless they were already weakened to the point where they were going to fall out and not return anyway. In that case, the hairs would be very thin and probably have very little pigment or color. Since your Dr. placed hairs in your donor area to cover scars, you may have had normal shock loss in this area. All I can say is, it's supposed to come back. Hopefully it does for both of us. Best of luck. My Hair Loss WebLog
