After months of reading reviews and pondering, I'm now down to two doctors: 1) Shapiro 2) Epstein Also, is anyone who had an HT with Shapiro or Epstein currently living in San Francisco? Whenever I see people who havent seen me in a while they all comment about how great my hair is looking from what was once a shiny scalp.... This may be beneficial in itself. Furthermore, I am sure both clinics will be able to arrange for you to meet up with some local patients. Surely both docs have patients in San Fran, just not as many as their local area. You might be able to kill two birds with one stone by doing an in-person consult. I have no reason to believe the results won't be good but I'm not far enough along yet to speak about it. I can tell you he seems to be one of the top in the country. I haven't been able to find any negative press on him on this site or the various others out there, only praise. I'm sure he'd probably let you know if there is anyone in the SF area you could see.
