Regular Member matt8053 Posted October 3, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted October 3, 2003 I'm considering switching over to advodart but on the prescripion websites it says the pills are in gell form. I guess this means I either take the full 5 or don't take it at all right? Matthew

Senior Member Belgiumdude Posted October 3, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted October 3, 2003 Hi, my assumption was that avodart comes 0.5 gelatin capsules which are the dose you should take daily. I dont think it is possible to cut up something like that. I also read somewhere that some guys take more than 0.5mg per day but never less. I would start by taking one capsule a day. Please wait till other people who use avodart post a response because i dont have experience with it. Good luck Greetz. Guest
The initial clinical trials they did trials of .5mg, .75 mg, 1.0mg, 2.0mg, and 2.5mg. The trials proved that the .5mg blocked 90% DHT, while 2.5mg blocked 99%DHT. It's best just to go with the .5mg because the extra 4% protection isn't worth taking four times the medication. This drug is awesome in my opinion. I've only been on it for 2 months, but seem to be having really good luck at the present time. The only difficult part is getting a doctor to perscribe it for you for hair loss.
