  1. Norwegian123,

I would check out Pat's review of clinics he visited in Europe. It's under "Visits to Leading Hair Transplant Clinics." It sounds like there may be some promising clinics over there.

Regarding North American clinics, I would agree with "wanthairs" recommendations. Like wanthairs, I also had a procedure with Dr. Jeffrey Epstein, who I'd highly recommend. You may also want to look into Dr. Ron Shapiro and Dr. Paul Rose. Take your time and find the right doctor for you.

  2. Norwegian123,

I would sit tight for a few days. Pat is over in Europe right now as we speak exploring clinics all over the continent. There has to be at least a few clinics over there that do good work. By the way, I have been to Norway a few times and loved it. It was my favorite country in all of Europe. Was your surgery performed in Norway or was it elsewhere in Europe?

  3. Browny,

I don't have any personal experience with Dr. Martinick, but I have never heard a bad thing about her. Most of her patients seem to be very satisfied. Perhaps you may want to run a search on this board to see what some of her patients have said about her.

    Bezane,

Where did you hear that Bono had a hair transplant? I have never heard this and am a major rock n roll fan.

    DannyG,

Most of the top docs are performing the tricho technique as standard procedure. I haven't heard of any of them charging extra for this.

It's also rumored that he went to Fleming and Mayer for his flap. I wonder if they did all his work (i.e. rhinoplasty, chemical peels, etc.).

  7. Ht4kd,

It seems as though you are missing the most important ingredient in your regimen: Propecia. Have you tried Propecia? For most people, Propecia will halt or severely slow down your hair loss. Propecia along with all the other ingredients in your regiemen may even provide you with some regrowth. If you've only been losing your hair for a couple of years, you can't have lost all that much. I would just stick to meds for the time being.

  8. I hope for everyone's sake that this becomes a reality in the near future. Even the most satisfied hair transplant patients would still like a little more hair. And then there are the guys with poor donor hair or damaged donor hair from older techniques.

  9. I would have to agree with Hairbank in that the average person has approximately 8,000 grafts at their disposal. Some may only have 6,000 grafts and some may have 10,000 grafts, but 8,000 seems to be the average. I have also read statements from doctors stating that 8,000 is about average.
