  1. This a 2005 pre-op pic of me and before i started on Propecia. As you can see, my hair is looking thin (It is naturally anyway) and you can clearly see a receeding hairline. The second picture is me now, one and a half years after my hair transplant with Dr Feller and having taken Propecia for 3 years. I had approx 1500 grafts placed into my hairline. I am now 21 years old. Dr Feller has changed my life and i can't thank him enough.

  3. Does anyone know how much Propecia costs to buy from a pharmacy with a prescription from your doctor? I'm currently buying offline but this is surely a lot more expensive, so want to change to doing it through my doctor.

Also, i've just ran out of tablets today and because of a mess up with delivery i won't revieve them until Monday. Will not taking them for 3 days affect me?

  5. 1. How many grafts did you receive?

    2. Where were the grafts placed?

    3. What did you want to accomplish with this surgery?

    4. What are you doing to attempt to prevent future hair loss?

    5. In the event you lose more hair, what is Dr. Feller's long term strategy in attacking your hair loss?

    6. Do you have any before/immediately post op pictures you can post for us (close up high resolution photos would be helpful).

    Cheeers,

    Hi,

I've already been through this in a previous post but i'll go through it again...

    1)About 1800 graft

    2) Into the temple region

3). I wanted my temples to be filled in so that i had a pretty straight hairline.

4)I am taking Propecia daily, which i have been for over a year and has brought my hairloss to a halt.

    5) The hairline that Dr Feller created is such that if i do lose any more hair then it will look natural.

    6) I only have a couple of very close up post op pics

With reference to your comment, i am losing my hair. I've had a receeding hairline for a few years now, but Propecia has brought any further loss to a halt. I'd become very self conscious about the lack of hair at the temples so i got this filled in. Although the photo i attached may look like i'm not losing any hair, it is just the way that my hair is cut that hides it.

  6. 2 months ago, at the ripe age of 20 years old, i had a hair transplant into my temples with Dr Feller. It's all going well so far, with new hair coming through nicely. I kept about 25% of my transplanted hairs and shed the rest after about a month. I'm now at the stage where i was at pre-op and if you look at the picture i've attached, looking at me you wouldn't know i've had anything done. The donor area is nicely healed and my hairdresser didn't even realise there was a scar there (thankfully i hardly scar at all). Bring on the next few months and new growth :-)

  8. Hi, i'm currently taking Propecia 1mg, which i normally buy from UKMedix, or MyOnlineDoctor which offer free online consultations. But this is proving quite expensive and is costing me around ??50 a month! Does anyone know where i can get this cheaper? Or even get Proscar? My doctor won't prescribe me Proscar, so i have to buy it online. Any help greatly appreciated

  10. Hi, how do you remove the staples from the donor area? Dr Feller gave me a staple remover, but not sure exactly what to do with it. I had my surgery done in new York so obviously can't go back to the surgery, and it's impossible to get a doctors appointment at my surgery without waiting weeks. I'm getting one of my housemates to take them all (we're all training to be doctors) but need somer help...

Rubbish, you can't make such a generalisation. Everyone's case is different, and without knowing MarkyMark's case you shouldn't make such a remark. I'm only 20 years old but had a transplant with Dr Feller last week...like i said everyone's case is different

  13. I don't really want my hairline lowered....all of my friends have said that they hadn't really noticed my high hairline and it suits my face shape. Which is true. And *correction* i've just measured my recession and it's probably more like an inch than 1.5. I haven't really lost any hair since taking Propecia, apart from the recessions which are now sorted. I have a couple of pics post op but they're a bit rubbish. Nevertheless i've attached them. I'll get some better ones and then post them up

  14. OK, my response to the above questions...

    1) My hairline is naturally high

    2) I have receeded back about 1.5 inches too which makes my forehead look massive

    3) The transplant that i got was conservative. Dr Feller said that he could have brought my hairline down by about an inch more but wouldn't because of my age

    4) My transplant basically just filled in the areas that had receeded so i now have a straight hairline, which is what i wanted. The high hairline suited my face shape, but i was always very conscious about the recession

    5) Yes i am taking Propecia, i have been for about a year, to prevent any loss on top.

  15. I've just arrived back from New York. I had my first HT with Dr Feller on Friday. I'm only 20 years old, and i had about 1800 grafts placed into my hairline so i now have a straight hairline yay :-) Dr Feller is amazing and i have to comend his staff for the fantastic work they did. Now for the long wait....
