  1. please don't ignore dandruff...after a while they may start affecting healthy follicles and you start losing hair(this may be temporary but in some cases permanent)

I had hairloss in the sides too due to severe seborrheic dermatitis. My dermatologist has recommended me Capex(steroid lotion-your need Rx)-every other day and DHS Zinc shampoo on other days....don't try the normal H&S/nizoral etc if it has not worked for you already.

Get on presciption shampoo. The last thing u want after a HT is dandruff killing ur new/old hair follicles

  2. Anyone tried minox 12.5% or 15% with any success??

If you have not tried it and want to advice me it is a ripoff, then thank you! good for you...

i am looking for someone who has used it...there is no harm is spending $100 even if helps a little...

  3. I have lived in UK for 2 years and USA for last 3 years, i have visited thailand twice and was born in india....i find it funny when people speak about thailand/india as third world countries!!

Recently i had a sports injury(in usa-dallas) and needed a MRI scan, a shoulder MRI scan costs $4500 in USA?!! is this a joke??!!4500 for a MRI scan?? Luckily my insurance covered it. Does it mean the MRI scan done here is any better than the one did in india/thailand? It costs less than $400 in really good hospitals of india/thailand. Return ticket to thailand/india costs $1200, i can go for a 1month vacation and still spend less than $4500 for an MRI! hah! People are even worried about medications made in india, but for the record many medicines sold in USA(many merk medications) are made in india by Ranbaxy labs. Recently this company won a huge order which inflated the stock price.

Expensive HT does not mean a better HT. I am glad to see Dr Path is now recommended in the coliation! Thailand is an amazing country to visit, this will help many balding brothers in asia and down under.

  4. @@ Latinlotus,

that is exactly what i meant. That 45 grafts/cm2 gives an illusion of fullness, anything less than that would give a see thru look which is bad atleast to me, i would rather cover a small area which looks full than full head of hair which is very diffuse....

i hope i am clear! I was advising the OP to atleast go for 45 grafts/sq cm not less than that, definitely not more than that either(unless u have 20,000+ donors icon_biggrin.gif)

  5. guys i would like to caution everyone who is regularly on avodart, specially if you are young......DHT is 10x more potent than testostrene.....u can't simply block all of DHT.....u will lose all ur manliness....ur voice, muscles(yes muscles too!! check out on bodybuilding.com how DHT helps in muscle building) erection problems, semen sperm count reduction....shit loads of side effects....and many of them are irreversible!! i will find a post from another forum where a dude who used avodart for 2years has sufferred a lot,...and he still can't get back to normal after 1year after stopping it.....

even i was very tempted...i even bought dutas...but i didnt take ot after i did more research....just my 0.02

  6. the drug is definitely "so" powerful, if ur so worried, u can simply stop it right away....

its just a drug to block the enzyme 5???±-reductase which converts test to DHT.As long as the drug is in ur blood stream it blocks enzyme 5???±-reductase, else nothing happens, i don't think there is problem stopping it cold turkey......

  7. nm76,

Check out this thread(check the link of HLH site). The dude apparently had thin hair, and Dr Hasson turned him down initially, but the patient was persistent as he wanted atleast *some* improvement and hence Dr Hasson worked upon him finally which the doctor regretted later.
