  1. mmhce,

Actually, I need to update the sig...stopped taking the MSM and Biotin just using Johnson's baby shampoo instead of the Revita.

Haven't tried the Vit C concoction...but if you hear good things, let me know...

    thanks!

  2. Just checked the bottle and the only date I see on there is 7/24/07...so I'm assuming that's the fill date. Do you think its safe to use for the next few months?

Yea, going to skip the duta for now and see how the fin works out. What should I expect with the current hair loss pattern I have based on my blog?

  3. As Thana mentioned, I've also looked into the effects of concealer and didn't see anything that indicated that it would affect growth.

The scar was red for a quite some time post-op, but not sure if that would translate into slow growth elsewhere. For the time being, I will probably keep it a bit shorter and hopefully it will fill out in the next few months.

  4. Thanks for all the comments and advice. I myself am shocked how the two styles look completely different. I did reach out to Dr. Feller's office this afternoon, but I think his office may be closed for the holiday. In any case, I will reach out to him next week so that he can give an update on the case.

Mr. GQ - I don't use Rogaine or Propecia, but I'll take pictures once again and repost.

I'm really hoping that I'm just a slow grower and that things will come in. I did have one picture where one side looks like the back end is not growing or coming in very lightly...which is odd. When I did meet with Dr. Feller in November, he also noticed it and said that it could just be slow growth and that it would come int...I'll keep you all posted!

    Have a great holiday!

  5. Thanks to all and Dr. Feller for all the posts, questions and comments.

    - My apologies if my blog address didn't show up earlier, but I'm including the direct link for comparison. There are pictures before HT and at intervals following the procedure.

    - The pictures do look vastly different because of the way its combed as mentioned by several posters and Dr. Feller. Prior to my hair loss, I always combed back my hair but as the hair loss began in my early 20s, I switched over to the combed forward look. I did mention that I would eventually like to go back to combing back my hair. Before the HT, I knew that I planned on getting more than 1 HT, which is why Dr Feller dense-packed 3,000 hairs in the frontal 1/3. I'm of East Indian origin and Dr Feller mentioned that since I had a darker scalp, it would give the illusion that it was thicker than it actually was. I'm not quite sure why it doesn't appear to be as densely packed, but I was keen on density vs coverage.

While its good to hear that I should be expecting more growth, I'm not quite sure on how much more growth expecially with what I have thus far. Also, it seems like some areas have not grown in at all (my right side towards the back) and I'm not sure of what to make of it.

  6. Hey Everyone,

Since its snowing up here in the NE, I thought I would update my blog with some new pics.

Ten days after originally posting (x number of before and after photos) Repoman deleted all but one of the photos presented in this album. However, his before and after photos can be viewed on his blog by clicking here.

  7. Congrats on your HT. Who was your doc? You should have received instructions from your doc about the post-op procedures.

    1. You can start the propecia and vitamins. Hold off on the Rogaine till the staples are out.

    2. Don't touch the transplanted hair area! For the first 5-6 days, just lightly pour shampoo in a cup over the area to keep it clean. Don't touch the donor area either unless you are cleaning the area.

    3. Personally, I waited about 18 days to even start jogging. I started lifting very lightly at around 3 weeks an and am only lifting about 60%.

    4. Don't worry about using oil or anything yet. Just keep the areas clean, stay on the vitamins and propecia and relax for a few days.

  8. HairToday,

Thanks for the reply. I haven't been using much concealer since my op. I'm a little over 6 weeks and have just been wearing a hat wherever I go.

I have a few weddings, etc coming up within the next two weeks and will give Toppic another shot. Good to know that the hair isin't affected with the use of concealer!
