  1. I would specifically ask your doctor to be safe.

From my 3 FUT ( the FUE was minor) experience, the main caution is excess tension on the donor area ( I'm not talking the first week or so which is certainly off limits). Heavy or significant lifting is a stressful activity which causes pressure, especially when breathing is not correct. Cardio is not biggie as long as you are not running a marathon or killing it. light weights and moderate cardio was fine for me and after 2 months or so I was back to regular lifting with a cautionary mindset AND deliberate breathing.

At the end of the day, common sense goes a long way - be careful and take it easy allowing the donor area to heal without excess tension or pressure.

  2. Hi

I certainly took it easy the first week or so but after, I began light cardio. Shortly after, I started LIGHT weights and then by the time my stitches were out, I was working out regulary ( still very light with very deliberate breathing so not to stretch the donor area). I would say by about 3 months I was back to normal BUT i'm not a powerlifter or anything.

Your doctor will give you a post op document which gives you a time frame

  3. I cannot say I agree with you as the majority of these "natural" treatments have little if any documented truth. Studies aside, I have personally tried so many of these without any marginal results ( I'm talking thousands of dollars) . I might add that "natural treatments" can have side effects as do any foreign object you but in your body, especially supplements

Good luck if you are having results but to those out there seeking a legit treatment with proven results, stick to the proven treatments your doctor will suggest.

  4. I think it is important to note these are "exceptions" to correlate to hairloss. Most of the people on this site suffer from simple MPB . It is completely normal to think several different factors are causing your hairloss ( shampoos, hats, diet, stress). I'm sure the homeless people on the street do not eat a balanced diet yet many have a full head of hair ( along with the people seen on late TV who are starving).

  5. The Key to using Dermatch is to "lock in" the product to your hair with hair products such as hairspray and/or a little fiber paste . I always used a bit and then a light spray (brush repeat if needed). If you are looking for a product which is a bit more waterproof try Courve as it is a paste.

I used both and they are quite effective

  6. I would say no . Correlation does not equate to causation. If it caused hairloss then all bodybuilders would be bald. In addition, it would cause hairloss all over the head rather than the top which is classic MPB

Those who have lost their hair know the mindset that goes with it , specifically, thinking of all of the possible reasons "WHY" they are losing hair

    - shampoo

    - stress

    - vitamins

    - their brush

    - wearing hats

    - etc.etc.

The fact of the matter it is almost always MPB ( I am not talking about the minuscule percentage of people who have special situations).

Been there done that! Oh yeah and I proudly take Whey protein now and I still have my transpanted hair

  7. You are fine for now, just monitor it going forward and IF it get worse, speak with your doctor. Thinning and loss doesnt always follow set patterns as far as timelines. Sometimes people recede and then it stops while I have seen others go from a fairly good head of hair to considerable thinning in a short time. Genetics are a b!tch

    Good luck
