  1. I had my HT(1.st) on the 7. of July 2003

(6.5 months ago). The procedure was done at Transmed in Istanbul, and I had 1684 grafts in: pri 1: crown, pr1 2: temples, pri 3: top

(Thinning) I am 31 years old and I have been slowly thinning for 7 years.

I have gathered a lot of information on this and other forums/sites, and I understand that 6.5 months no growth yet is on the higher end of the scale, but not totally uncommon.

I am of course worried - without any reason I hope icon_smile.gif

I would like to hear your stories, when the first hairs came out etc.

Especially interest in you "late bloomers".

I am also interested in experiences with Transmed, Istanbul. My experience was a very positive one.

    Please share with me.

  3. Hi again,

I had no pain at all, not at the day of the operation or later.

I dont use propecia or anything. Did for 7 moths five years ago (that whats really started my hairloss) Lost 30 % overnight, never came in again)

I had a lot of hair, so I dont think anybody could see any signs of a HT.

    I picked this clinic because:

    1. I found them on this site

    2. They gave me all the answers I wanted by email

    3. Reasonable pricing

  4. My doctor was ms. Beyhan Ata?§. Very nice doctor.

Melike founded the clinic with her husband, Reiner. I belive he is a plastic surgeon.

I found the clinic at this forum, and I am very satisfied with the procedure. Everything went very smooth. They had their secretary pick me up at my hotel with a taxi. Off course, waiting for things to happen sucks, and I think 5 months is a long time, but Im shure things will grow eventually icon_smile.gif

I had 1674 grafs: crown and hairline.

  5. I had my HT in Turkey at the Transmed Clinic in Istanbul. This clinic have great referances and nice results. I found them on this site.

The personell and their service was excellent. The procedure went smooth, no problems at all (but shockloss)

I'm at 5 month and 1 day today, and waiting for the first new hairs to appear icon_smile.gif

  6. I have had a HT in the temple, top and crown area of total 1684 grafts.

I had approx same desity as you have, and experienced shock-loss. I guess - 10-20% less dense now than before the HT.

Its is 4.5 months since the procedure, and I have no growth yet. I think its late, but most people say 2-6 months is normal. My TP-hairs fell out very late, so I should be in the restingphase still..

Normaly the majority of the shock lost-hairs will grow back, according to most doctors and poster on this forum, so I dont think it is any reason to go bold before you take some action.

  7. Yes, I have had a state of the art HT, FUS technique. 1684 grafts. Transmed Medical in Turkey. They were very professional.

I was very careful withe the grafts, and it took quite a long time before they fell out. Not the first two weeks, but 1-12 weeks

I dont use finasteride, because four or five years ago, over a 6-8 motnh period, it made my hair 30 % less dense. Scandalous!

Maybe I should not worry. I dont see why I should have any problems. And the (graft)regrowth-rate is 95-100%, isnt it?

  8. Im wondering if the front/temples are growing slower than the crown.. I think I may have read that somewhere.

Anyway, for me its easy to follow the progress in the front, because my hair is appr. 4 inches length. Any new hairs will be easy to spot. The density is only have of what it was before the TP.

    ...

  9. I think my hairloss-speed have increased. Almost everything happened the last two years.

Now its thinning in the temples and on the top /crown.

At first, propecia kicked it off, then after my first HT in July, it got worse. Approx. 15-20 % less dense 4 months after the procedure.

    What is your experiences? icon_frown.gif

  11. I'm really worried..and depressed. Had my first TP the 7th of July 03. 1683 grafts in the temples and in the crown.

    I was maybe a light NW 3V.

Since my TP I have had an extensive shock loss effect...Overall thinning on the top/crown, and the temples as well. It looks quite bad now.

After these four months I still have not noticed a single hair growing out in the temples.

On the top Im not able to see, but it doesnt look any better.

Anyway, I can feel itching in the recipient areas. This is supposed to be a good sign, isnt it?

    I will appreciate comments icon_smile.gif
