Have read on this site, you should avoid the sun for several months post op.
Is this correct. Just using rational tells me after the first several days, the receiptient site is no different. Guess common sense tells me not to get a sunburn on top of the head (just as I would avoid sunburn on any other part of my body.)
Is there something I'm missing?

Direct & to the point. I like it. No wishy washy advice here.
As for Shapiro. Don't know. Guess take the advice of our friend and investigate through the better business bureau and the state medical board. Also, see if he's affiliated with any cosmetic surgery organizations. (Board certified with on of the hair restoration or/and cosmetic surgery societies helps.)
