  1. Spock, I don't know the density in terms of square cm, but I remember that the technician was told to make them very tight. After day 2 the tech told me that I received more grafts the second day and that she had placed them very close. As far as the doner harvest it was done half on day one and half on day 2. The reason is you don't want the hair folicles exposed for more than 24hrs, which made since to me.
  2. I am posting my new webpage to show my progression from post opt 3 months ago, to my updated pictures as of today . I will be updating my webpage with new pictures every month. You can see that 2 weeks after HT my new hair fell out. That was very discouraging, but everyone said it was normal. Month 1-2 were very tuff to go through but now its month 3 and I have alot of new hair coming in as you will see. It is very exciting and I can't wait to see my continued growth over the next several months. 5. My procedure preformed by Dr. Brad Limmer in San Antonio, Texas. I will have new pictures this week of my 3 month post opt anniversary. I have also created a website to show my progress and will post the link to this site.
  6. I am getting closer to the 3 month mark (Nov. 17th) and seeing a little growth. Tiny hairs are starting to pop up but still not the density I had after the HT. I am hopeing the dormant folicles will start to sprout in the coming months. It does look promising at this point. I will post pictures after the 17th. My routine every morning consist of the following. 2ea 1500mg MSM, 1 ea. Mega Men Multi Vitamin, 1/4 of a 5mg proscar tab, 1 Dhea tab 25 mg, rogaine twice daily.
  7. thanks for the responses. I just took more pictures today. I do have a little bit of peach fuss type hair mostly in the mid to back part of my head. I don't know if this is from the rogaine or even if it will grow to normal hair. I have a before pic taken about 2 weeks before HT and one taken 10/27/04. Any comments welcome.
  8. I am now 2 months PO , my procedure was 3000grafts. 3 weeks after HT the grafts started to disapear now I have just a few left. My biggest concern is in the front hairline itself I see just bare smooth scalp where grafts use to be.You couldn't tell I had anything done. Is it true the folical is underneath the skin just waiting to sprout? From what I am reading from others is not to worry the grafts will start to grow again 3-6 months PO. Do I have anything to worry about? I have been on Proscar, Rogaine, MSM for about 7 weeks now, taking it religiously every morning. I also am having the same symptoms with zits on the top of my head. Everyday I look for any sign of growth but still just the smooth baldness I had before the procedure. Man this waiting is hard, plays on your mind.

  10. Dr. Brad Limmer San Antonio, Texas..3000 grafts 9300 USD
  11. Thanks for the reply. I guess just be reassured is the best medicine. To answer you questions I was careful when scratching. I was not sure if I should use the rogaine on the HT grafted area but will start to apply from now on, thanks. Right now I do not have any more dead skin or flaking of the scalp area. Dr. Brad Limmer from San Antonio was my doctor. He was very nice and I would recommend anyone using him. My donar area was the worst part of the operation. Hurt like hell for 4 or 5 days after. Now is just alittle tender but for the most part almost back to normal and scar is hardly visable when I pull the hair back to view. Doc did great job in that area. Very pleased.
  12. Okay here is picture taken 3 days ago. Notice the hair loss, HT not visable. Should I worry?
  13. HT Aug 04, 2 sessions 1500ea. Day 3 post op HT looked great, lots of coverage. I was stage 5a before. After about 1 week the scabs started to come loose and for couple days I wouuld use my fingers to work them out. Sometimes scratching lightly to loosen them . Now I am approaching 4 wks and have noticed considerable hair loss. I still have grafts that are still visable but 75% are gone. Should I be able to see the holes created where the grafts use to be or would they not be visable. I am using rogaine 5% and proscar daily as directed by my Dr. As of today you would not be able to tell I had anything done. I want to believe they will come back but from what I have read from this board it(shock Loss ) is expected. Just hard to believe they are almost gone. Someone please ease my mind. I tried to attach a picture of me on 3rd day post op, so hopefully it will work. If it does I will post a current one.

  15. I am approaching my 4 week Post Op and have noticed signficant hair loss in the HT area. My procedure consisted of 2 session back to back 3000 grafts, by Dr. Brad Limmer in San Antonio. I too have been using Proscar and Rogaine. Rogaine after about 2 weeks post op. I use mostly on the crown area. My biggest concern are the HT that I have lost. I know it is expected but you still wonder if you had a bad HT. After the HT it looked like I had a full head of hair (small of course) but still looked very promising. I have to wait it out and hope for the best.
