Does shedding occur when switching between different oral meds? Example, from propecia to proscar to avodart. Is shedding a common occurrence or does ot happen at all?

My sense is that once one has been taking one of these meds for a while that shedding does not occur if you switch, because the common active ingredient if finasteride.

I know the effective ingredient in propecia is finasteride. Are there other additives in propecia that have an added benefit? I can't see why someone would purchase propecia if using a finasteride pill would produce the same results, because propecia is more expensive.

I was using propecia for about a year with great results. I had to stop use about three months ago and it's obvious that I am reverting to my old self. If I begin use of propecia again will I be able to regain the effects of the drug which I once benefited from?
