  1. Thanks for the encouragement guys!

Wantego, My feeling is so far is that I'm going to wait to judge success or not. I'm happy with the implanted area. I'm being optimistic the scar will improve. I will measure the level of success at the 1 year mark.

HairHope: I use a make-up pencil pad to apply the dermatch. The end of the pencil is a pad that's the width of the scar so the concealer stays on the scar and doesn't clump up.

  2. It's been a little while since I updated my progress.

Changes in my growth are hard to see since my hair is short so I wanted to wait until there was enough change to see the difference.

Front hair line region is starting to see growth and I no longer use concealer in the front.

The scar area is still pretty visible so I still use concealer. I posted scar pics with and without the concealer.

  3. MikeTheDane,

It's sounds like you got it all planned out so I say go for it.

I actually buzzed my hair down after I got my sutures out because my hair was so uneven since I was shaved during my procedure.

You may want to consider cutting your hair with clippers but with zero guard. I'm not sure if shaving would damage the transplanted hairs or slow their growth.

  4. So I'm now at the 3 month mark. At first time was going fairly slow but next thing I know I'm at 3 months. Not much has changed since last month but that's expected.

I had to take my pictures this month inside with the flash. I typically take them outside with natural lighting but it was cold outside today.

From a visual and healing stand point, I'm back at the pre-HT condition. The right side of my head still has a tingling feeling but it's no biggie.

I hope to start seeing some transplanted hair growth in the next couple months and improvements in my scar/shockloss.

Until next month, take it EZ.
