i had a small repair surgery done yesterday(300 graphs) which went great. trychoptic technique was used, but is there anything i can do after now and throughout the healing to help minimize scarring??

..is it still normal to be shedding vast amounts of hair each day. im talking like 200-300 plus a day(that i can see and guess, so its probably more). im also noticing that im not just shedding from the top anymore but on the sides. this is so god dam frustrating

Dr. Feller would be a ideal choice, but i would rather not fly across the country for this small of a job

its just a scar spot left over from a skin issue surgery, 1.5 inch high and about . 75 inch wide,

..for me to expect to find a quality doc that will do a small repair job(200graphs of less) for under/around 1000$??? Most clinics have a minimum cost because of overhead, etc.

i emailed Dr. Umar and was surprised that he told me that there is 4,500$ minimum which i clearly will not have because i only need 200 graphs max!

maybe i was searching wrong, but im looking for a doc in socal that does FUE, i just need 100-200 graphs on a NON ht scar on the right side of my head. all i got so far is rassman for 20 but that is a joke and out of my range, i wish to spend under 1 g, but i need a doc that does fue.

$! a little to much just to redo a scar(that was not from a ht surgery)-

is there a link on this site that tells me what docs in socal do fue? i dont want to travel out of state just to get 100-200 graphs done

Im already balding really bad on top so probably going to shave my head soon. any ways i was wondering how many grafts do you think i would need to cover about the size of the spot? What generally are the cost of FUE graphs? i was hoping i could do this for under 1000$

Trust me guys I know the feeling , but rather than getting depressed i did something about it. I found this forum with Bill & co and did some research over a year. I took out a small loan from the bank over a 12 month period which I know I can pay back, and next year in Feb 2009 ill take another smaller amount out again and probably go for 2000 graft just to give it that extra edge. By the way guys im a full -time student and working part-time delivering pizzas so If I can do it so can you. wow i def missed out on this topic. jupiter, im only 21 man and its gettin to the point where i cant hide it anymore, i bothers the F*** out of me man. i feel for you. its such BS that balding isnt takn more seriously by doctors and stuff. this sh** has literally ruined my life. the worse part is that NOONE in my family has gone bald, well at least not untill like 60, so everyone is like just in denial of it. and i have Fn diffuse loss so its like even worse. i cant even bald right. its a fn nightmare! i know i only got like maybe 1 year till i have to shave it off and i really dont know how im gona respond. its gonna be bad.

anyways thats my rant, the truth is my life is not gona be what i wanted it to be like and its BS!

and thing that pisses me off is when people in their 30s, or even late 20s, are complaining about it, at least they got to go through college with hair! they have no idea what to young balding guys go through. its hell

im begining to wonder if propecia has messed up my thyroid or if my hair loss was accelerated because of hypothyroidism. i ve been on propecia for 6 months now because of diffuse hair loss, but there was a minor pattern to it, so the docs were convinced it was MPB. i got my thyroid test about 4 weeks ago and my TSH was 6.8 which is high and the doc started me on hypothyroidism treatment(synthroid).

can propecia effect thyroid levels??

does, and if so when, hair grow back after using hypothyroidism treatment?

anyone have a similar expierience??

the reason why i posted this is because for the past 6 months ive been on propecia ive gained about 10lbs pretty flabby fat, i also have low thyroid levels and have to take thyroid pills now, i was wondering if the elevated estrogen from propecia could have something to do with this? and my doc only tested me for testosterone which was a "good" 681, but refuses to test my estrogen saying it woulndnt have an effect???

what yall think?
