  1. arfy, dr. f, and other medical professionals, as a drug rep myself i feel i must chime in. Dr. F's concerns w/ hormone levels are very insightful. The fact that the drug should not be handled by women who are pregnant, and if i remember correctly, those who intend on being pregnant, should be a red flag. A problem i have as a rep is that a drug originally studied for bph, turns out to grow hair on mpb individuals. And because merck had the resources to do the studies to market propecia as a hairloss drug, the fda has not linked the relationship between bph and hairloss. In my opinion, any drug for bph should contain the same warning for pregnant women, or those who intend to become pregnant

  2. i agree the work looks good, the hairline brought down a touch, but the head is tilted so you don't get as good a look at the crown. Admittedly, i think we've all been spoiled by the dramatic results a 3-4000 graft procedure can achieve, but for someone not wanting such a dramatic change in one shot, i think its a great result

  3. with all due respect, if dhi was trained by dr jones i am not impressed. One year ago, Dr J was da bomb on this site w/ many people flocking to him, but i have yet to see one post some credible before and afters. Granted, a pioneer is going to make more mistakes than successses, and therefore have critics, but the fue talk has quieted in the last year, w/ the positives and the negatives not yet realized, i could be wrong but...

  4. don't panic, there is a good chance u can stop the progression. I didn't see how long you have been taking propecia, but some people won't see anything for more than a year, and if u don't see any regrowth what it does best is keep things at bay. As far as the redness goes you may have a buildup of something called sebum which is actually a fungus. Try t gel or nizoral shampoo a few times a week. Listen to the bald truth on sunday nights, educate yourself

  5. what i do for a living someone wearing a piece looses 50% of his credibility the first thirty seconds he walks in the room. The rest is spent in the next 30 talking about his success in the old days. In my experience this person/s had no business being in charge and leading other people, as he lost most everyones respect quickly, and made dickhead decisions for the next 2 months before he was excised

  6. i didn't quite hear that the young guy in question was a nw7 in the original post but i do feel for the young guy if it overcame his emotions at that age. But I have to think that the way its cool to wear your hair skin tight, that it someone would be hard pressed to tell the diference between him and a friend w/ no hair loss.

He was robbed of his best years because of something genetic that was beyond his control, but the help he needed was prob more than a fellow sufferer could offer, and maybe a professional was needed. Easy to be the Monday morning QB, and I feel horrible for doing so, but maybe a bunch of thoughts might help the next guy. This young guy has all my best thoughts and prayers.

  7. i have consulted personally w/ dr feller, and he is most certainly on my short list. We disagreed slightly on my course of action, but his talent , knowledge, and commitment to the state of the art transplant is obvious. The only reason i have not done anything is $$$$$. He is commited to fue, the instrumentation, and the overall happiness of his patients. Do a search, i know many will concur

  8. EC, there are numerous guys here and at farrell's site who have had work done by dr j in the last year, and besides the responses you've got here there are 6-12 months post op guys that can comment best. If not here do some trolling over there and see what bites, get nothing but guys 10-15 weeks post op(staff and dr j were great), be skeptical, the guys 1 year post op must not be too happy

  9. temple work is one of the biggest issues now as far as i'm concerned. If we are aware of the finite donor supply that we all have, the good transplant work, and the good rugs available, for alot of guys its the sides and the temples that give it away to the trained eye instead of the work itself. Someone mentioned dr true and i respect him opinion very much and i think he does good work, for me he underestimated what i would need for good coverage.

Placing a hairline too low, or not addressing temples w/ good graft work is as bad as getting doll plugs

  10. hi guys, this has been an issue for me for the last few years. In restaurants, i have anxiety about not getting a wall seat. I work for a corporate company that the small amount of work i've had in the crown is noticeable. After the last procedure i really thought no one could tell. Until I left my noggin out there for the 1st time in 5 years. I was there having a beer and a bowl of soup and watching NBA, I left feeling very good about myself until some meatball gumba(nothing against italians, but also refers to the wannabe's that are greek, russian, etc, hey, its NY)anyway, this guy taps my crown, and as i turn around he makes the SSSHHHH sign and points to my head, and says, i won't tell anyboday! At this point did I give a rats ass who he told, he did this in front of 6 of his friends and 4 of mine. Words cannot describe the rage i felt.

But I have not had the $ to have my crown filled in more, and I will be in a church for the 1st time in years for my goddaughters baptism, and don't want to stand out. Used toppick before and hid the work a little, any suggestions?
