Since 1998, I've had 6 hair transplants. In July 2015, I had the 6th. I'm unable to have future hair transplants, because I'm now out of donor area. Still, overall, I'm happy with my hairline and the last transplant was to fill in a thin spot that bothered me but mostly just to add more density.
History:
July 10, 1998 761 grafts
June 4, 1999 832 grafts
March 26, 2002 562 grafts
September 30, 2001 1140 follicular units/grafts
October 19, 2012 1537 follicular units/grafts
July 16, 2015 1117 follicular units/grafts
--------------------------------------------
Total: 5949 follicular units / grafts

The profile picture was taken in 2012. I've have very fine hair and have had 4308 grafts in the last 14 years, the last being in October, 2012. The most recent transplant was for density and to bring the hairline down a bit.
My hair in the photo looks much better then it actually is. The lighting conditions were good and I manage to cover thin and balding spots fairly well but I use a lot of "mega hold" type of hair spray and a thick gel.
If everything goes well and I'm able to achieve the good, strong hairline that I want, I'll be able to feel comfortable enough to stop using almost all of those products.
I've been taking propecia for at least the last 12 years and I highly recommend it. I'm also a believer in supplemental vitamins.
There is a product called "Hair Force" by KAL that I've been using for about the last 6 months or so. It has a long list of ingredients and isn't terribly expensive, so I've been taking that. I'm not sure how well it's working or contributing to growth but I figure it can't hurt.
The other supplemental vitamins I use are Niacin, Biotin, Iron and on occasion, Shen Min.
