  1. i realize that wearing a cap doesnt make you go bald but it is VERY detrimental those with a new h/t! i am now 1 month post op. i had hair added to both the crown and front. i wore a cap from day 1 to try and conceal the surgery, being more than careful not to rub the cap front against the new transplants (wearing it way down on my forehead. just fyi-i have lost nearly all the hairs along my front hairline and still have all the hairs that were transplanted on the crown. i know just the friction of putting on and taking off the hat is what made them fall out in front. they very well may come back/or not but if you want to hang on to themfor long as possible...dont do the cap thing!

  2. tara..really have no suggestions for you other than go for it. i am a bit of a wuss and was put under for my procedure but experienced zero pain once i woke up. it took me about 6 days for the swelling of my forhead to go down and most of the scabbing to go away and now it is just a day to day wait for hair! it is very frustrating to wonder daily what it will eventually look like but at least hope has replaced the hopelessness i felt with thinning hair.

  3. went to have my staples removed today (8 days post op) and it was the most painful experience of my life!! i actually had them stop after removing 12 of the 32 staples because i got a migrane that about exploded my head. will not go back until they allow me to be put under for the procedure. the problem is that the blood crusted over my staples before i got home from surgery and they had to dig out the scab first to find the staples and then my excess hair was dried up in the scab. they would pull out 4 or 5 hairs with each staple. the ones near my temples felt like a torch burning me when coming out. try pulling out about 4 hairs just above your ears!!! moral of story....insist on stitches or make damn sure you keep area very clean from the moment of surgery on!! trust me here, i'm a tough little pony but that shit was inhumane!

  5. along with graphs in the crown (see pics) i had about 300 graphs put along my front hairline. i awoke this morning (3 1/2 days after surgery) with my forehead swollen all the way down to my eyes. i assume it is the numbig agent that somehow has filtered down from the front hairline. any others have this issue? should i call the doc? thanks in advance

  7. i thought i was using doctor waldman from lexington ky but when i awoke from the sedation i realized he was no where around. i was informed they had techs fly in from california to do the cutting of hairs but it turns out they inplanted them also. i was given a $800.00(graftcyt) kit of sprays and gels to keep area moist and speed healing but am worried the lotions cannot penatrate thru the dried blood.

  8. i have several large blotches of dried blood around the implants which makes it very difficult to go out into public with the current look. what is one to do to clean the area's without risking dislodging the implants? was told not to wash hair for at least 7 days? does everyone experience the dried blood initially or did my doc just do a poor job of cleaning it? thanks in advance
