I agree that the photos are crap. And I can't vouch for everyone here that has had a poor experience with MHR, but my result, in my opinion, are total sh*t. I've spent a lot of money having the work corrected.

The photos are of poor quality. I wish they could zoom in on the sh*t work they did on me. That would scare a lot of people off.

I hope the result is great, but at about $12 per graft and $14 per body hair graft in Athens (more in other European cities), I think DHI is quite expensive.

I do admire what DHI is doing though, and hope the prices will come down.

In my opinion, the smartest thing I've ever done was to never go to MHR again.I'm very unimpressed by the quality of their work.

A HT would not grow as well in an area that has previously received a high dose of radiation. Many of the post-radiation changes are vascular in nature. Surgical wounds do not heal as well. It may be reasonable to have a few FU's placed in the area to see if they grow, but perhaps some type of mini scalp reduction may work better because it would remove most of the damaged tissue.

You have a nice hairline right now. I would be very conservative and wait. Family history cannot predict the future. You don't want to look like a freak in 10 years.

I've had hair transplants by both Matt Leavitt, head of MHR and Ron Shapiro, head of SMG. This is only my opinion and just an opinion, but one looked great and one looked like sh*t.

I think the posters on this forum are pretty accurate.

It looks like MHR pulled too tight on your scalp reduction because your face looks distorted.

Seriously, Your HT looks OK, but I used to live in Grand Rapids, and I'm just not aware of any great doctors in that city. It sounds like you're on the right track though. Good luck!

Take my advice and travel out of Grand Rapids for your next hair transplant.

Ouch! The before pictures look even worse than my Leavitt work.

Electrolysis may work for some people. I just speak from my personal experience. I went to multiple sessions(10-15) with a respected electrologist and saw little or no difference.Electrolysis only has about a 25% kill rate on normal hairs, so I would expect it would be less if there was significant scarring around the roots.

Give it a try, and hopefully it will work.

I had significant scarring, but it wasn't thatnoticable to the naked eye. I guess all you can do is try electrolysis and see if it works.

I tried electrolysis for my frontal plugs, but had litle luck. The electrologist said there was too much scar tissue, so the needle couldn't get at the hair roots. I went for about 10 sessions with no visible change. Maybe your result would be different if you don't have a lot of scarring.

It's hard to believe anyone could do such a bad job. Mahair, do you have any pictures? I feel for you, but I'm beginning to get a little suspicious.

Perhaps Mahair is worried about getting sued if he names the doctors.

Personally, I documented everything and have already spoken to several lawyers, but not about free speech issues on the internet. Does anyone know about this?

I had a procedure with the head of MHR and the result was very bad. I wouldn't go back there if the procedure were free and they paid me $100,000.

I had a HT of 1600 FU's with Shapiro last December on a Thursday and went to my company Christmas party on Saturday night. Nobody noticed a thing. I know this because I would be the butt of jokes if anyone found out. I do have quite a bit of hair that concealed the work, though. In fact, the slight swelling of my forehead made my skin smoother, and a couple people commented on how good I looked.

TV may help, but companies like MHR have a lot more money to buy airtime. Consumers may believe the infomercials that they see more often.

Personally though, I find persons such as Shapiro and Rose to be far more professional and believable than a guy with a goofy voice and face like Leavitt.

I had "work" performed on me by the same lying bastards as you did, so I can empathize. I do have some suggestions:

1)Consult with Shapiro/Rose as you indicated.

2)Get a neurology consult regarding your anhydrosis and tachycardia.

3)See a psychologist or psychiatrist regarding your depression.

Remember, this can be only a short term setback. The damage can be repaired.

Do a google search to find the California State Medical Board. Look up Larry Bosley, and you'll find his license is suspended in 12 states. That should tell you something about the quality of that group.

Please get some help. Your damage isn't permanent. If you go to the right person,you'll be none the worse except for the thousands of dollars you gave to those quacks.

I went to Shapiro about one year ago, and now I can barely see what a crappy job Leavitt did. I understand what you're going through, because I went through the same thing.

The new pictures are not overly impressive. The guy who got 2000 grafts has a noticable pluggy look. The last patient photo makes it difficult to even judge the quality of the work.

The web site does not give me a lot of confidence in that clinic.

I looked at their website and thought it was TERRIBLE!

They showed one picture of one of their patients( which by the way looked crappy), then they refer you to the ISHRS website? Don't they have any of their own patients to show? Their site is MISLEADING, and should be banned.
