  1. Hi

Sorry to hear you have had some bad experiences, having myself had a very poor result in the UK I felt duty bound to comment.

In my opinion the only clinic in the UK worth looking at is Farjo, however when compared to some of the top surgeons he's only average at best, in addition very expensive.

You will get some really good advice from here and you will need to put up some pics. I went to Belgium for my second HT and had a wonderfull result, the price is also much better than UK.

Suggest you research this site well including the list of approved surgeons on this site.

    Don't rush into another mistake.

    Good luck

  2. I'll confirm that Dr Edgar is very professional. I emailed him this morning enquiring with regards to finasteride, he emailed back very soon after with prices and the consultation form. I completed, he approved and I ordered the 5mg Proscar 14 month supply.

All done within a morning. I anticipate receipt of the meds early next week.

You probably can get it cheaper from an online pharmacy however ordering direct from a Dr does provide more surety that what your are getting is legit......

    Thanks Spex.......

  3. Would welcome advise on the following please;

I have used just under 3600 grafts to date to the frontal zone 1, 2 and I have around 2600 (FUE) grafts available (not including strip which is not my preference at this time) although I’m really pleased with the results I would really like to use a further 300 grafts to build the temporal peaks. My frontal bone of the cranium protrudes out and this would be hidden by furthering the temporal peeks.

I am 42 years old and my crown would have been lost if it was not for the meds which is maintaining it in a fair order. A link to my journey with pics is below.

Do you think it would be risky to use a further 300 precious grafts in the temporal peaksmindful of potential future loss?

    Thanks

  4. Hi. Ive purchased some 5mg (finasteride) proscar from a Dr through a link through this website.

Can anyone help me work a way to cut the tablets into equal fifths or even fourths if it's easier. Ive purchased a pill splitter but it does not cut into equal measures.

Do you think purchasing a very sensitive scales and crushing the pill into five equal weights could be a solution?

Any help would be appreciated, I'm really not comfortable with taking unequal measures on a daily basis.

    Thanks

  5. Until recently I had been purchasing finpecia (1mg generic finasteride) fron ukfinasteride.info, I believe it was a Dr Singh who owned the site and subscribed the medication. However the site is now closed.

Can anyone tell me where I can purchase a 1mg generic finateride in the UK please? Ideally finpecia as I prefer a 1mg tablet for ease of use however I don't want to pay the extortionate prices for Propecia.

    Thank you.

  6. (hsrp10 I have responded to your email)

    DR Mwamba's the surgeon.

Im about 8 months in and really pleased with the results. The hair angulations appear completely natural, by looking with the naked eye I would say that I have had up to 100% growth (but I guess in reality under a microscope probably haven't)

The next phase for me now is maturity which will come over the next couple of months or so.

As far as hair transplants go, Im delighted!

  7. hsrp - I would really like to have another 500 in the front however its probably too risky and I don't really want to go down the strip route. Ive already had around 3700 FUE in the front but I am going to have 300 in the temples this year as a compromise

Good luck with having the scars FUE'd in. Ive seen some really nice results from this allowing a shave down to a buzz2 (prehaps 1 in perfect condititons)

Cant decide - Looks like you have come a long way! Your pics are a little small but it looks impressive. You must be really pleased......

  8. How many grafts do you have left in reserve?

I have 2000 grafts left (FUE) and am interested in how many others have saved for probable further loss?

Im 40 and with meds my hair loss has stabilized. I would like to slightly lower my hair line again to get the facial proportions closer. However it takes around 500 grafts to lower the hairline by 1/2cm. This would only leave me with a 1500.

Please tell me how many you have saved?

  9. I understand there's genetic relationship between the frontalis muscle and the hairline. If you have a high frontalis muscle and subsequently a high forhead, would it be unwise to transplant below the frontalis muscle? At this point you would be transplanting below the highest wrinkle on your forehead.

For the purpose of the question, can we assume there's sufficient donor and the rule of thirds would not be breached.

    Thanks in advance

  10. My hairlines just under 7CM's. Hair transplant greed tells me that I should lower it more as this would make me happy. However Dr's not too keen and on a rational level I only have 2000 grafts left (FUE) In addition I do have a naturally high / broad forehead and I have already transplanted near the frontallis muscle.

The temporal peeks is a good area to focus on, ill be having them touched up later this year...

  11. P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; }Hi.

I started receding during my late teens and experienced some minor thinning of the crown at around 34. At this point I started using flinstrate (propecia) which I have taken for the last 6 years. I am now 41 and have responded well to finasteride where the crown has stabilised with some limited thickening. (A HT is taking care of the frontal re-session lol)

I'm content with the crown as it is, however should I start to use minidoxil or shall I wait incase flinstrate starts to loose effectiveness and then at this point use minoxidil to help the crown?

My concern is if I start on minoxidil now it may loose its effectiveness over time so should I leave it until I really need it?

    Thanks
