  1. Yep getting a HT isn't cheap, the lads have given some sound advice on here. Basically the best thing to do is to try and save the money.

But when you have researched HT's thoroughly, found the right doc and feel you need work doing right away it is going to be hard to wait and save.

For my first HT I paid the money out right and for my 2nd I hadn't saved the hole sum up so I paid for the majority and put the rest on a credit card. The advantage of my credit card is that I don't have to pay any interest until January next year and by then I should of paid it off.

What im saying is if someone needed work done pretty soon and had not saved up the hole sum, try and get hold of a 12 month interest free credit card and to pay the remainder off with that.

  2. Every time I think the redness on the crown is starting to die down I get a big red fooker right in the middle. Just looked at your 2 month pic and it looks like you was at the ugly stage back then too.

Yep very similar it's interesting for me to see that you are sprouting at only 4 months. No sprouting for me as of yet, not expecting anything just yet though.

    Continue to grow well icon_smile.gif

  3. Looks like you're right on track Steve-o. I am just 4 months post and have been feeling some little stubs for a while now but haven't really seen any growth yet. i have a feeling this month will be a growth explosion (i hope!).

    Cheers hairthere

You are right mate get ready for the explosion. 4/5/6 months when when the majority of the growth happened for me on my first HT so fasten your seatbelt bud icon_wink.gif

    hey stevo

Looking good brother , my pinkness stayed a little longer , but you and I are lucky with it being in the crown , nobody noticed mine and i'm sure you'll be the same .

I see your fringe is just covering your new hairline hahaha good camoflarge ,my pinkness faded more in the 3rd month , your scar coverage is spot on .

    Cheers richie

The redness has definitely hung around longer this time than what it did on my first HT, Dr Feller says it takes longer to heal on the crown. The redness on the hairline dissapered pretty quickly though. I have just buzzed the top down to a no8 in these pics and still no sign of surgery at the front icon_smile.gif

Good growth to you richie my man and keep us up to date with any explosions icon_wink.gif

  4. Jupiter you are doing the right thing by getting on the meds early doors, hopefully this will save you from any more loss.

Personally if i was you i would stop even thinking about a HT and get on with your life. You are young with as good as a full head of hair. Get some Toppik on the crown keep on the meds. Go out enjoy yourself and forget about HT's man icon_wink.gif

  5. I think if your thinning out then the best thing for you to do is to get on the meds. I wish i would of known about them earlier and maybe i could of saved what i had earier on.

In most cases the meds save what you have rather than regrow more hair. Get on the meds and then hopefully you will keep what you have and in a few years you may not even need a HT.

  6. It's been two months already guy's, well nearly two months anyway. Everything has been going according to plan, the only issue really has been some lingering redness on the crown but that is just starting to die down now.

I am feeling more confident going out without my hat on now as the redness on my crown aint as bad anymore, so for me that is the hardest part nearly over. There is still some shockloss under the scar but that is easily hidden with a bit of Dermatch.

2600 grafts. 1600 planted in the crown and 1000 planted in the hairline.
