I just want to give a big thanks to Spencer Koren, who helped me get ahold of some people in high places with MHR. I had had a past bad experience with them and we were able to settle. MHR told me they were trying to clean up their image and they sure demonstrated it. I am happy to report that we settled for almost the full price of my procedure. I will save that money and do more research. Next time I will be more informed. Thank you all! Thanks again to Spencer!!!

I fail to see where there was a problem in the thread. No one was arguing. Much of the information is NOT on his website, as I was in search for ex-clients and their expereinces. I trust NO websites for information as they will only post information that is favorable to them. If this was the case, MHR and Bosley would be reputable clinics, which we have all learned from people's experiences with them, that they are not. That is all I was looking for. People who have dealt with this company. Most of you are quick to judge without even looking at a doctor's work or talking to past clients or their staff. How can you formulate an opinion and call it unbiased if you have no information, other than online pictures, to support it?? I for one want more information before I make up my mind. Thanks to you who gave me information I could use and contributing to the thread.

Thank you so much Mudpuppy. Why would they lock the thread? Why is everyone so negative when discussing this clinic? That's what I don't understand. I don't belive anything was said that would force Pat to lock the thread. Is there an anti Alvi campaign here? That's the vibe I get and for no good reason. Pat please let me know why you closed that thread. I read your comment and I disagree with you. If there is that much discussion, then that thread needs to remain open. There is a reason that there is that much traffic. There is much information to be learned, unless you want to keep that quiet. Did you have a bad experience with him??? Did you have a falling out? There is more to this story then you want to let out. I am sorry, but closing a thread for having to much attention is weird. Nothing bad was said, just, hey, let's close this thread because I am tired of seeing it. I guess you are entitled to do it, this is your forum, I just don't understand the motives behind it.

Interesting. I wonder if Dr. Alvi does work in the U.S. or would you have to travel? I wonder if he would be open to online posting of a customer's HT surgery process from consultation to results. I wonder if he ever frequents these boards and would care to join the conversation.

So, let me ask you this. If This clinic doesn't close the temples, would his work be of high quality? It seems to me that the only thing people are mentioning about his work is that he closes the temples by being too aggressive. If he was not as aggressive, would he be recommebded on this board?? I understand what people are saying. If I went to him and could get results like on his website, maybe not as aggressive in the temple area, would you recommend him? I have yet to hear from someone who is an ex-client or from someone who went to his office for a consultation. Anyone out there??

No need for name calling. Just civil discussion. Some of us are in our research stage. Those of you that are more knowledgeable, how about posting pics of your results!

This is great discussion. Now what I really want to hear from, if there are any on these forums, are past or future clients. I want to hear the good as well as the bad from them. I guess this is the only way I can actually formulate my opinion of this clinic. Results and people's perception of those results. I want to hear from people that observe these results and are unbiased.

Would I need to file in my state or where the procedure took place? I had the work done in Illinois and live in KS. That's the tough part. Can anyone help?

Hey guys, what are the qualifications needed to be named on the IAHRS list? I noticed this particular Dr. is on this list. I really appreciate all of your input and support. This is the best way one can make up his/her decision. I am so glad I stumbled upon this web site!
-
I very much appreciate the information that you and others provide on this forum. I have never been able t talk about my hair loss publicly. This site allows me to say what I feel, without ridicule or embarassment. I have tried to search in this site for this paricular doctor, who sparked my interest. I must say, before I read on this clinic, I had my mind set on another Dr, which I still might use. I am trying to get as much info as possible, before committing. It is a life decision, afterall. Thanks for your help!

Oh, and I never said I wanted 100cm/2. Just a more youthful appearence. Is it me or does this doctor seem to have his haters? Might be me, but I get a weird vide. Why? Please fill me in.

I am not looking to get quite that perfect of a hairline, though I would like a more youthful appearance, so closing the temples is exactly what I would like. I am 26, but feel older, not because my face or body looks it, but because my head does. I guess my observation on all the other websites I have visited do not touch the temples much. I am just in my research stage. I just want to hear about the quality of the work. Anyone know of anyone who has visited the clinic or better yet, had work done?
-
Yes, I tried to get them to follow through with their guarantee. They brushed me off. I tried to get a lawyer, even went online to look for one. I have yet to find one that was willing to help me.

I read through the post, but I have a couple of questions. What are the qualifications needed to be named on the IAHRS list? How about an actual clinic visit, just like the other tours, where he could explain his techniques and you can actually see past and present clients. I would like to hear about the quality of his work from past clients. I am just on a mission to find the best value for my money. If this means that his great results now will end up not being so great in the future, OK, but I would like to know that info so myself and others like me can make a decision. That being said....I am still lost!! In this day and age where there are so many miracle promises, I am hesitant to believe anything on TV or the Internet that promises hair regrowth or restoration, without unbiased evidence and support.

Arthur Katona MHR Chicago. I do have my before pictures from their office, but I would have to scan them in to post. I will see what I can do.
-
Thanks for the info guys! Now I hope to hear from someone that got work done from their office. I love the results, but thanks to MHR, I won't consider an office until I talk to past customers. Seems his results are better than normal. I wonder why no one on these forums have used him. Does that in itself speak volume or has no one been to his office just by chance? Anyone had at least a consultation with this company?
Thanks again guys!
-
Really? Have you used his services? Please tell me more. See the reason I ask is that out of all the web sites I have seen, his result are the most dense and look to be what I am looking for. I am highly skeptical, so I want to hear what ex-clients have to say about their experiences and results. Thanks!

Pat, would you ever visit the clinic in NY or Chicago for the AlviArmani clinic? I am curious about their quality and long tern results. Considering he IS on the IAHRS list, I am surprised no one on this forum has much to say about him. Can you fill me in or PM me? Thanks!! ksbolt@gmail.com

I too went with MHR and spent $5000 for absolutely no results, other then the scar on the back of my head. I complained and was yelled at and given the run around. I asked about the 100% guarantee they offer and was ignored. I have filed a complaint with the state of Illinois against them and I suggest you do the same. Might not do any good, but I won't sit on my hands either. I wish I had learned about this site before I went to MHR.
-
Looks good! Keep us posted on the results! I am surprised that no one else knows much about this clinic.
-
I searched on this site, but didn't find that much information about his work. All I could find was info about his temple procedure...nothing really bad about the quality of his work or ethics. Can anyone chime in??
-
I am one of those that I would love to have my temples closed. Most of the time that I see pictures of a hair transplant, I notice that they pay little or no attention to this area. Is there anyone on this forum that has been to his clinic and visited with them or better yet, gone through a procedure and can give us actual results?
While I have read on these boards about several different doctors, I have narrowed my search to two clinics that have a good reputation. Shapiro and Wong & Hasson. Does anyone know if they do good temple work? While I would love to undergo a procedure now, I have to first pay off my first HT gone bad with Medical Hair Restoration. I wish I would have known about this forum earlier, but what can I do now. Thanks for everyone's advice and helpful information!

I noticed they even have their own forum for discussions.

AlviArmani is the name of the company. Their Hair transplant photos look great, but as usual, I am skeptical. Anyone know about the quality of their work? Thanks!
