Because of their genetics, simple as that.
But it's so strange that it's a hairline that resembles MPB while not being MPB.

Why do some people have a NW2 hairline since birth?

I think when you feel you have a taller forehead and you go to Nw 2 or 3 it becomes bothersome because your face isn’t framed. When you already feel you have a big or tall forehead the little bit of recession becomes a big deal in appearance.
Exactly my thoughts

going from norwood 1.5 / 2 to norwood 1 or norwood 0 comes with little aesthetical improvement again. the difference wont even be noticable to anyone with many hairstyles.
For some guys with certain headshapes and facial features going from NW2 to NW1 can be the difference between being able to style hair upwards and having to do a combover.
In those cases I'd say the aesthetical improvement is also big.
Not saying it's the case with OP.

I would agree that leaving it as it is would be fine too. The multiples don't look that bad and I assume the hairline frames your face nicely.

Hello, thank you for your comment. My hairline is 6 cm from the glabella. So it's already bit low. I think why people comment remove grafts is because of low hairline looks funky when you get older. But i'm also confused since ive got mixed answers from clinics aswell. So i'm afraid doing something that will make things worse
There's no such thing as a hairline too low, there's only a lack of donor hair for low hairlines. Everyone would do a low hairline if donor was infinite.
I see adding singles in front as an absolute win. Especially if some clinics suggested doing so as well.
Your density seems good enough to look good with a low hairline as well.

Why exactly are people telling OP to remove the multiples? Instead of just planting some singles in the front?
So confused.
Wouldn't removing the multiples cause more scarring, cost just as much and also make the hairline higher and create the appearance of thinning?
Sure, adding some singles could make his hairline a tiny bit lower, but I just don't see how that's a bad thing at this stage of OP's HT journey.

If you have surgery (and there will always be someone who will take you) you will destroy your natural hairline. You do not need surgery. You look good.
If someone with a NW3 could have a successful HT with a nice result, why couldn't OP have one?
It just seems counter intuitive that people with a NW3 are encouraged to get a HT, but people with NW1-2 are discouraged.
-
Have you actually lost any hair? Is your hairline different than 10-15 years ago? Be honest with yourself.

SLA is about to have some small temple point work done now as I type! 💯👌
Is there a thread?

The transplant I want to do includes building temple points. I've been looking for doctors who have done this kind of work the most, it seems Eugenix is the one.
Would you guys recommend Eugenix?
Any other clinics you recommend that do temple points?

Can't wait to see how those temporal peaks turn out

It appears that my donor has been transplanted to the front and possibly take in local characteristics and possibly lost some of the DHT protection.
Sounds crazy. But who knows. I guess there is still a lot of discovery to be made in this field.

Temporal peaks should be made with single grafts, there're many patterns of temporal peaks loss, in some cases the candidates should know that the hairloss of the peaks can continue and consider if it's the right time, or the transplanted hair can stay black while hair behind can be white.
This is a result of one of the clinic's team that had a peaks job 10 years ago and the result is sustainable till today (right photo I took from recent).
Looks good. Was this a 440 graft surgery? Or is this just a part of a bigger surgery?

Yes was on finasteride, no donor did not thin. I had a third HT in July 21 by Dr Farjo and donor hair was deemed fine.
So strange that this happened to you. Did Dr. Feriduni do the initial transplant?

In Dr Feriduni's opinion the follicle groups reduced, he stated that all hairs on our heads have a certain life and what was once 3/4 follices reduced to maybe 2/3 and 1/2. Either way was most of my transplanted hair thinned and probably fell out. I sent him that photo to ask for his opinion. The one with the hair is 1 year post op from my 2nd with the worst picture being 10 years after.
Were you on medication?
Did you donor thin as well?

there is also such things as retrograde alopecia. Apparently it is very common and many people dont realise they have it. basically hairloss in the donor area
That appears to be something affecting the more advanced Norwoods. NW6-7.

What I mean by temporal points:

All of the above, donor hair is DHT resistant. Not DHT proof, as we age our hair thins. Hair transplants will thin around 15-20% in 20-30 years. Probably sooner without medication.
The recipient area being more hostile to transplanted hair. Would that also be true?

Have you had your Dr run labs for you? For someone your age it can be thyroid disease iron-deficiency anemia, excessive stress, malnutrition or vitamin D deficiency.
Unlikely. We can see that the OP has an MPB hair loss pattern.

I watched this video, but I still didn't get a clear picture as to why the transplanted hair thins.
To me it seems: Some of the donor would have thinned out anyway even if it wasn't transplanted - and with some hair transplants we therefore see the transplanted hair thinning.
Can I get a second opinion 34YO
