I am based in California but I have family in Istanbul and I try to visit them once a year. What's Yaman's involvement during the whole surgery process?

I'll start speaking to few of them then visit them to get a feel of them when you visit your family. Yaman done the incision. just poke holes on my scalp then he came in few times throughout as other mentions but am not aware what he saw did was 1/2 mins and spoke to the staff.

how much were you quoted? and was there anything in particular that made you prefer Yaman over Gur?

Went to Istanbul in Nov- spent 10 mins with Yaman and Doga ( person on Watsapp) and Gur I had him and 4 other ppl ( 1 intern)  for 20 mins then another 15 mins get to know with one of the person I spoke to on watsapp.

Gur pricing structure wasn't clear and told me the result where Dr Gur does 50% implantation and incision made no difference to results, what am paying for is his experience and it cost around $1000 more if I wanted DR Gur to get involved half the surgery, the hotel and pick up is extra cost. Plus I had 3/4 ppl speaking to me on watsapp, just too confusing.

Both wasn't sells on the consultation but felt genuine in their own way but Gurs watspp person did say to me they booked up until March next year but did say if he had a cancellation this week whilst im in the city he shall book me in if i wanted to go ahead, felt a bit odd when they told me to take my time etc.

I personally wanted to get it over and down with all off them I had my neg and positives on both but Yaman felt less Qs in my mind. London Drs was always a no go for me due to price about 5x Yaman and they wanted it done over 2 surgery over 6 months apart meaning I have to have 2 ugly duckling phrase.

    @berkserk where are you based?

I am still debating whether I should do it or not. I am a high nw which probably will require two sessions if my donor area permits. my priority is covering the crown area rather than a hairline because I do buzz cut.

what medication did you use before and after the surgery? did you have any complications during the healing process?

I'm UK based so I spoke to 3 clinics in London and went to Istanbul to visit Yaman and Dr Gur and bounced Qs off them. Crown is part where it grows back the slowest. All consultations told me to take finasteride or no point doing HT as over long term i will lose more hair. Healing process after just red lumps on and itching .

  4. looking great, if it wasn't the last photo I would have said you look like a youth with full set of hairs. Im sure its not noticeable when you head out in sunny spring.. Is it clear to you its better than before surgery?

Just hit my 2nd month few days ago. shedding stopped about month 1 but now its the pimple and itchy stage. Hard not to itch it , def itched it few times where it drew blood and had dandruff like flake fall out. Still applying the moisturiser foam, liquid and shampoo supplied which cools down the scalp for few hours, were you the same with this?

  5. During the first week and proceeding 1-2 months did you scratch your scalp much. I know it can be itchy and tempted to scratch and scab scalp.

All you can do it bring it to Yaman and hope for the best now. Keep us updated, btw did you think about visiting Yaman when you were in Antalya recently , i know its like 2 hour flight but you did travel all the way from the states so another 2 hours shouldn't been an issue

I wouldn’t go with him my brother when it is better low cost alternative available. He is a hair mill that do between 3-5 patient daily and also very little involvement with him where the technicians does the most. Stay away from him bro.

look at Dr. Gur, Dr. Turan or Dr.Dermitov (not sure how to spell his name properly 😩) if u want cheap options.

good luck with your future surgery 😀

3-5 patients a Hair mill? He needs to make the money to keep his practice open. @Napoli I know you seen so many case reviews and comments on who to go and who is bad etc. Its all an opinion, i had the same dilemma. What i would do its speak to as many consultants on all budgets and take a general view of what you need and whats the realistic approach for your hair type, grafts and age. When you get to the clinic all you do is lie there and there no going back cause all you can do is trust them. I been to Yaman recently can't say it was rubbish or amazing the service /experience but end of the day we all want is results. Hopefully in June I can start writing up a review on results, cause if you read the experience, hotel, surgery itself , next day hair wash we all experience the same at Yaman.

  7. All you can do now is be positive and not stress about it too much. Just cut it short or wear a cap when your out and about in the meantime is your really disliking the look.

Give it another 2 months that's should be the month where it grows from what I been reading. Your already been through the worst (surgery, 1st week , shock loss)

You find anywhere as going there 2nd week Feb how was your procedure

Yes whole procedure was rather straight forward, will write up a review in full once I gone through the 1st part of recovery. In general the only thing I would say is the local anesthetics at the start 10/15 injections was strong but pain last 3 secs each only. Location wise theres a Mall, Starcity outlet 20 mins walk or 5 min Cab or theres a petrol station and few small super markets 3-5 mins walk you can grab some small snacks. I ordered room service price was fair IMO.
