  1. It's not noticeable since there's no sun in scotland :D Aye it's a lot better. I have more hair than I did before the surgery. The patches were pretty much bald. These are pictures from July 2022. You can see with the wind it's pretty horrid.

Yeah same! The pimple stage is torture. I try my best to not scratch or rub it but it inevitably drew some blood too. I think you can see some in my month 3 pics.

  2. 6 months update

At the half way mark now! In terms of noticeable changes. Not much, just length. Depending on lighting, you can still see what part on the top of my head that still needs growing.

I've sent my month 6 pictures to Doga at Dr Yaman's Clinic. He says it's growing well and has advised me to use minoxidil foam. I've not used minoxidil yet and I'm gonna be honest, I'll be too lazy to apply it twice daily. Maybe once but definitely not twice.

Using finasteride. Vitamins supplied by clinic have been used up.

Awesome results. I'm on my day 12 and went to Yaman as well. I feel like I'm starting to see small bumps and I'm freaking out it might be cobblestones. Did your bumps get better? And how early did you start noticing the bumps? Also are you using fibers in your most recent update?

I still see what looks like bumps on my head when I aim my camera really close. Can't really feel it though probably because of the hair. Never really paid attention how or when the bumps appeared sorry. The pimples on the other hand... Was really annoying.

    No fibers were used.

@LikeAJungle its similar to you really mate, still quite thin under harsh light but a big improvement pre transplant, I only realised the other day I didn't do a month 4 update but might as well wait till month 5 now so stay posted lol

Good to hear! Look forward to it. I do notice one side of my head has slightly less hair. Or positively thinking, the other side is just growing a bit faster.

That's a huge difference from month 3.  Filling in very nice!  Lots of months to keep getting better.  Your result should be great!

    Thanks I hope so too!

Looking great @LikeAJungle, glad to see it’s made a massive improvement since month 3, I’ve started using toppik again when I’m going out, does wonders for the illusion 😂 happy growing :)

Thanks Rob! How's yours getting along?

That’s a really good progress for 5 months mate. Dr yaman is a great doctor for sure 👌🏼

Thanks Napoli! It started improving on month 4 and began noticing a difference.

looking great, giving me great confidence. My shedding more or less finished (i think) had 2 weeks of shedding now , only couple hair falls out when shower or brushing fingers past it.

I read few members from Yaman, had vitamins given ,o? Only got given anti botics,  moisturising cream and shampoo. What vitamin are we referring too, feel am missing out.

I think there's much more shedding to come mate.

The clinic gave me anti biotic cream, shampoo and moisturiser, saline spray and vitamins up to 6 months. Upon googling it, not much info tbh...

    @NorwoodSlayer69 @LikeAJungle

I noticed that you both went mid/late last year. I have a few questions if you guys don't mind answering.

    1. Why did you guys decide to go with Dr Yaman and not other doctors (such as Gur or Turan) and would you recommended/go to Dr Yaman again?

    2. I know it's still too early to say but are guys happy with your results so far, are there signs of positive outcomes? @NorwoodSlayer69 you mentioned how the side of your donor area has scars but do you think that may fill in since you may still be in the shedding/shock loss phase?

    3. I'm sure you guys did lots of research before going to Dr. Yaman, did you guys notice maybe 1 or 2 bad results/reviews from Dr Yaman before but still decided to go with the understanding that no doctor has 100% perfect outcomes?

I'm spending hours on hours doing research on Dr Yaman and keep finding mix reviews. The results that turn out good look really good and natural. But the reviews that are bad are really bad. I would still say there's more good results than bad (and for some reason I can't find a lot of those bad reviews I read early on in this forum). If anyone has gone to Dr Yaman mid/late last year or plans to go this year then please share your story and what you think about your results so far. I'm not too worried about how many patients they're seeing in a day (unless it's a lot like 5 or more) than I am on the result and outcome of the ht

At the moment I'm pretty happy so far. I've got hair again on the areas that had vanished and my donor appears to have recovered. Dr Yaman was in the forum recommended list and I was reading his reviews on here. I stumbled onto the forum by accident from a youtube comment after going through hair transplant reviews on google, facebook groups. Almost fell into Smile Clinic as their marketing is something else. The options of clinics were so vast, I would spend more time on here before I can make a solid decision. As you said, I can't expect a 100% perfect outcome from any doctor. I ended up just focusing on Dr Yaman and took the plunge despite knowing some of his reviews were not as glowing but it was the risk I was gonna take. It's hard to say whether I would recommend cause he's the only one I went to and my results aren't finalised yet.

  7. I went the same day as @NorwoodSlayer69. Currently just under 4 months after the HT. My donor areas appear to be fine. Extraction was done by a separate Doctor and an assistant. Dr Yaman's involvement during the process was incisions and would come in and out every so often during the implantation.

I've only noticed 3. Me, Norwoodslayer and another guy that was in my taxi. Spent most of the time in a room so don't know who else was there.

Only worrying sign for me is 3 months scalp still red, worrying in terms of looks temporary when I need to head out.

Have we read or asked if there are any lotions etc to reduce the redness.

I work from home and only handful of my colleagues seen me in person before (new company) and we potentially need a get together (work related  non social) in March

It's honestly not as bad as it looks, the camera makes it more red than it is. At least for me. I'm not sure (haven't researched) if there are lotions that reduce redness.

Daft question but do you guys wash your hair everyday? I find that after applying the spray twice daily it needs to be washed daily to keep it fresh or it gets itchy, it could just be luck but I’m almost at 3 months with Yaman and don’t really have any redness now :)

Aye everyday with the baby shampoo.

    Thanks @BboyLimpin

When Dr Yaman was making the incisions he definitely had Loupes, I also think the techs were using when they were sorting my hairs for implantation, they gave me a breakdown of the grafts they had sorted but in truth its a little difficult to remember the sorting section as you are head down. It is early days as it was only 8 weeks last Friday but I feel my hairline looks fairly tidy (considering I didn't have prior to the op) but il pop a photo below for you to see :)

    Good luck with this.

Can I ask, did the doctor and technicians use loupes and do you know if microscopes were used for graft separation etc? There is still some debate on this and no real conclusion.

During the transplant, no. During extraction I really don't know sorry. I'm pretty much blind when I don't have my glasses and I wasn't facing them.

  11. 2 month update.

Looks horrible and been wearing a hat mostly. It's cold anyway. Shedding has been much more aggressive and pimples are forming more frequently. Got a wee trim to try even the look a bit. Donor area has recovered well. Still slight patches of shock loss on the sides but nothing I didn't expect so far.

There are sprouts of hair appearing but can't tell if they are the transplanted ones or not.
