you have to wait the 12 months mark and then reassess. Nobody can tell you now anything for sure. If it doesnt grow its not a big problem either, its a small area and surely an easy fix.
If this is necrosis, will a second hair transplant work in this area? Because in a years time i would possibly like one more hair transplant to get the full density over my whole head i wish for. This time i had 4200 grafts most of them being at the front area and then around 1000 on the crown area.
i would like to get the middle done in the future so if this area doesnt grow i will get them to fill it in on second hair transplant if it will be okay to do so?

Have you spoken with the doctor? It may be necrosis. Let me tag @Bhumik Shah MD
Hi, I spoke to my doctor and he says ‘you can see the hairs are there once the scab came off so it will just grow through late, i have to wait 12 months’ but i was worried he is saying this to just keep me haply

Honestly, friend, @Callum I'm concerned that might be hematoma from the hair transplant, a potential complication. I've seen cases where such dark patches lead to compromised growth. My advice would be to try microneedling that area along with minoxidil. It will help stimulate the stem cells and possibly rejuvenate some grafts. I regret to saying bad news, but it's my honest opinion.
Hi, thanks for your reply! i have started minoxdil 10% spray for this area 6 weeks ago so hopefully this will help the area!.. what i dont get is that under the dark scab once it was removed you can see all the hairs are there? As you can see from the photo

Hi all, so i went to turkey for a hair transplant in march 2023. I know two people that have used this clinic and got amazing results plus all the reviews are amazing.
Im now 6 months post opp and i have a patch around the the size of a pound coin that hasnt yet sprouted.. maybe 3 or 4 hairs in the area have sprouted only.
I never knocked this area or damaged it in anyway post opp nor did i have any bleeding that shows signs of loosing the grafts.
This one particular patch formed a dark scab that too abit longer to fall off than all the other scabs. I did not pick this or anything. It eventually came of and there was hairs as normal under the dark scab like there was under all the other scabs when they came off. Since then all the transplanted hair went through the shredding stage which is normal.. but now im post 6 months and this area where the dark scab was, the new hairs still have sprouted back through…
I have spoken to the clinic and they say it will come through late due to the dark scabbing as the roots (hair) are there when the scab came off.. i just need to be patient and wait the 12 months
I just want peoples opinions wether they think it will still sprout in this area after 6 months or wether the clinic are just trying to keep me happy for the time being♂️… if anyone could let me know what they think i would extremely appreciate it! Wether you think it will grow or not i would like to hear peoples opinions. I have attached photos to this thread of the dark scab, when the scab finally came off and what it looks like now 6 months later.
Other than that the rest of my transplant is unreal and i couldn't be happier.
