Hey everyone,I hope you're all doing well. It's hard to believe it's been almost 10 months since I made the decision to undergo a hair transplant, and I couldn't be happier with the results. In the past, I've shared close-up pictures focusing on my hairline and details, but this time, I wanted to show you how my hair looks in everyday situations – whether I'm out in public or snapping pics for social media.Sure, there may be some tiny flaws, but I think it's important to showcase the other side of hair transplantation – how it can change your overall appearance and boost your confidence. I know there are risks involved, and negative outcomes are possible, but I believe it's essential to highlight the positive impact it can have on someone's life. So, I'm attaching some photos of me in everyday scenarios, rather than just close-ups of my hairline. After all, in the real world, nobody really pays attention to those minor details – it's all about feeling good about yourself and rocking your style with confidence.IMG_20240117_184413_244.thumb.jpg.475408901d592f6486e1d2631fe8072f.jpgIMG_20240116_191506_716.thumb.jpg.c384539f9c3f7d49c6db518853c9bbd9.jpgPicsart_24-01-14_15-56-48-661.thumb.jpg.6a1c59c7bc4a991c42e1b2a7a97e8454.jpgPicsart_24-01-21_12-50-13-253.thumb.jpg.dd0157021cd6b5111f39d2436e731194.jpgIMG_20240114_154711.thumb.jpg.0218e6bace286b649b35fbfa108f7090.jpgIMG_20231214_192732_559.thumb.jpg.b88f733496845fafc3d41b9e7d41cd27.jpgIMG_20231212_191528_981.thumb.webp.2377974b0094c637b96ec50cb2fdec15.webp

Thanks for your comment on my hair bro. Wow really amazing, a new person :)

  2. Approaching month 7 in one week. Some daylight shot (no direct sun). The hairs getting better in terms of that they feel similar to how my hair felt before on top of my head.

On the left side (right side on the picture) I had very bad shock loss after surgery and late growth. It still looks thinner in comparison to the right side. I hope that will catch up after the year is over. I read that doubles and tripples grow slower and take more time. I still see thin hairs growing. So hope will get more density.

Met a friend today I met 2 months ago last time. He said β€œoh my god you have so much hair now”. But under certain light (those strong spots in bathrooms) I feel it still looks thin. Hopefully will thicken up more. But in comparison to how it was before I am more than happy.Β

@SeleΒ Are there any other medications you use? I understand you are not on finasteride or minoxidil? Currently, I'm debating use of finasteride, but wanting to get a Hair Transplant. Is this typical to have transplanted hair not fall without use of finasteride.Β

IΒ΄m a special case because of Post fin syndrome. I would definitely recommend using finasteride after a HT if there are no sides. At least topical.

I do PRP every month. I apply 2 drops of caffeine solution (The Ordinary brand) and Aloe Vera on the scalp every night. Thats it.

@SeleΒ hey do you have an update on your 6 months progress?

    thanks

Yes I have. Going through some hard times. Now 6 weeks in total on antibiotics. Bad sleep. Bad eating. It’s showing up on my hair. They feel thin. I think from month 5 to 6 there was not much change. Hair got longer. But I feel density wise that’s it. I took these shots against a window with daylight. I can add some daylight shot later. This is again styled with some wet look hair wax. No fibers.Β

  5. Posted these on Reddit few days ago already and got quite some positive feedback. Wanted to add them here as well. Around 5 months and 1 week. Picture 1 and 2 with dry hair, the rest with glossy hair wax. Donor has the white dots on a skin fade. Doesn’t bother me so far.

And the last picture, the usual micro shot with tiny hairs. I have no idea if they will grow out or if they are baby hairs that will stay like this. Feels like they are always at this length. But difficult to say.

Edit: Last shot in sunlight. The hairs left and right on my hairline are native hair left from pre surgery. I marked them with red in one picture.

Man, this is so nice! Very exciting for 5 months! The doctor really framed your face up perfectly.πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Definitely very happy already. If this is it, it’s more than I imagined. I’m happy with the hairline since I think it replicates my original hairline perfectly.Β

Β hairline looks great, do you recommend drΒ Laorwong i am considering having my HT with him.Β
also do you mind sharing your donor ?Β

Definitely recommend. Of course it’s more expensive than a hair mill in Turkey but was worth it.

Donor I have this one I took yesterday. It’s just 2-3mm length since I get a mid fade every 2 weeks.

@SeleΒ your growth rate is phenomenal! Looking great and only five months! πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

Thanks buddy. Your result is amazing. I’m going to let the hairs grow longer and copy your hair style :PΒ just from left to right. But I love the slit back look. If it fits me too, going to do that as well. I think I need 4-5 months more. Also it’s a practical style to hide the crown.

are you microneedling the transplanted area? if so, when did you start doing that post-HT?

i'm not an expert but just thinking maybe thats not a good idea if the area is already full of inflammation trying to heal after the transplant, i think they say its like 1.5 years until its fully healed. BTW i saw that quite a few people here are actually against microneedling including @Melvin- Admin . I've tried it and it didn't provide any benefit for me personally, but yeah saw a lot of success cases on reddit. But they were microneedling alone or with min, not with a recent hair transplant.

anyway regardless looks like you've got some decent growth coming in month 4. i'm thinking up all these ideas i can do to try to make sure my growth is quick and dense, but i'm worried i might over complicate it and get in my own way a bit.

I did start around week 6 but I would not advise anyone do that. I had very good results with micro needling 2 years before surgery (in combination with The Ordinary hair peptides) but I couldn’t take the pain it was causing and after few months started to do it less and less frequently and then forgot about it.

If you do fin you are good. No need to do other things. Also you only had a thinning on the hairline and the rest is thick and full. So no need for micro needling and other crazy things.

4 month update looks very good, and the best is yet to comeΒ

I’m not really sure if I was an early grower until 4 months and that was it. So far, the last 2 weeks after this post, not much happened. Actually month 4 should be exploding. But to me it still looks the same in the mirror as 2 weeks ago.Β
    Β

Punch size I think it was 0.8mm. That’s what the paper says. But three hairs 1.9mm not sure if that can be.Β

Just chiming in here, perhaps you are very sensitive to drugs. Like in your OP you said how you fell asleep almost instantly after they gave you meds before the HT - myself and a few others here were awake the whole time. I was the tiniest bit drowsy and it made me feel less stressed about the whole thing, but no chance was I going to fall asleep.

Exactly. I think over sensitive to anything. For example in 2012 I smoked weed for the first time. I ended up in the hospital with a horror trip.

As for the Valium, it was only 20mg. And I slept pretty much the whole procedure. And then went home and slept another 12 hours. Best sleep I had in a long time.

Thats also the reason I am careful about trying minoxidil. Some studies show it’s an androgen interrupter.Β

I'm essentially at the 1 month mark now (in 2 days) and my experience has been very different to yours in terms of shedding - I can see very little shedding if at all of very small hairs. My impression is that I have had practically no growth in the recipient area and that the few slightly longer hairs I have are the ones I had before (very little of those, I know).

What caught my attention here was your mention of dead grafts. Since the only shedding I seem to notice is of short small hairs, it sounds to me as if almost all of them are dead :(

I know there's no reason for this to be the case, but is there a way to know? any specific details I can check that you're aware of that will indicate if grafts have actually survived or are dead?

Nah don’t worry mate. I don’t even know if those were death grafts in my case. Some shed in month 2 or later. As they always say, trust the progress. I had very high doubts about my transplant until month 3. Push through the time. You can start worrying at month 6.Β
