so much better than your starting point, bet it’s changed your quality of life…
you on any medication brother?
Yes massively, I’ve got my confidence back and don’t have to worry about wearing hats all the time or it being windy outside 😂
yeah I’m taking 2.5mg of finasteride every 3 days.

Thank you for sharing. I’m trying to save money for my transplant. How much did it cost you?
I paid £6000 total but I believe his prices have gone up slightly since.

I can’t recommend Dr Mani highly enough. I had a procedure done with him in November last year and am so pleased with the results so far. He was always very open and honest with me about what kind of result to expect and what could be achieved which has been mentioned a few times here and feel that’s so important for a procedure like this. This was one of the main reasons I chose him for my surgery.
Great experience for me from Start to finish, definitely one of the best out there at what he does

Looks good! Interesting you’re not even half way to the end result after 8 months.
Thanks 👍🏼 yeah I just presumed 6 months would be the halfway mark but yeah about 40-45% at the minute according to Dr Mani

Oh okay....you don't have a concave head shape so your crown area is not that wide and you will not need too many grafts...and are you on medication ?
Taking finasteride, have been on that since august 2022. That seems to be helping a lot though

@morro2235Excellent result ...so you planning for your crown now ?
Yes will need a second surgery on the crown. Got a few big financial commitments coming up so probably looking like it’ll be 2025 at the earliest. Not in a massive rush to get it done though

Diffuse thinner large area has worked wonders. Defo more to come in if only at 8 months, you’ll continue to see improvement even beyond 12-14 months so another 4-6 months of steady growth

Yes totally agree 🙌🏻

Hi everyone, just wanted to share my experience of getting my transplant done with Dr Mani as this group helped me a lot when I was researching surgeons and just info on transplants in general.
The main thing for me was the thinning on top of my head as it had gotten quite bad over the last year or so and was starting to feel very self conscious about it. I researched for around 6 months and looked at clinics both in the UK and abroad. I narrowed it down to 3 surgeons (Dr Mani, Dr Bicer & Dr Arshad) after having consultations with each of them I decided that Dr Mani was the right surgeon for my procedure. I felt he was very honest in terms of what could be achieved and at no point did it feel like a sales pitch or he just wanted to make money out of me and not care about the results.
After a few months of emails and a couple of phone calls we scheduled in a procedure date for 18th November 2023. Was pretty nervous on the day but Mani and his team were really relaxed and put me at ease. The injections to numb the donor and transplant area were fairly painful but after that I didn’t feel anything. Rest of the surgery went well, we started at around 10am and finished around 5:30 with a break for lunch half way through.
The initial plan was for 2200 grafts but ended up being 2465 in total. ( not sure of the breakdown of singles/doubles/triples)
I’m a 32 year old male and currently taking 2.5mg of finasteride every 3 days and luckily have had no side effects from it.
Overall I’m very happy with the results so far. Had a follow up meeting with Dr Mani yesterday to check progress and I’m at around 40-45% of the end result so far. There are a few double/triple grafts where there is only single hairs coming through at the moment so abit more growth still to come over the next few months.
I’ve attached photos from before the surgery, immediately after and from my 8 month review which was yesterday.
Happy to answer any questions anyone may have.
