Yes. You can transect native follicles in recipient area, if care is not taken. You will have to give it time to see what happens to your native eyebrows.
Thanks for getting back to me. I understand this could permanently damage the native follicles.
Could future transplanted follicles survive and grow in those affected areas?

I understand if both native and transplanted follicles were transected, could healthier follicles survive if they were later re-transplanted in these areas?

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.
What timeline should be given for the short transplanted hairs that are present post opp?
If these remain is there a likelihood that the transplanted hairs were not transected?

Hi,
I have had eyebrow surgery; I am a mixed afro-haired male.
Can transection during implantation affect the native hair follicles?
Are there any warning signs for this?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I hope all is well.
I have been reading about transection rates recently.
Can transection in transplants affect native hair follicles in the recipient area?
Thanks in advance!

your pre-op eyebrows looked completely normal.....can you please explain what you didnt like about your pre-op eyebrows?
You are right, I wanted to add small length to the The head and to cover scar on the tail; the surgeon however transplanted on areas I did not request(the entire brow).
I am saddened by this and have been a wreck sinceCan my native hairs grow back?

@Searching4truthI think there can be a shock loss and both the things (scalp and eyebrow hairs)acts similarly in this thing..shock loss occurs during hair transplant on head when there is some level of trauma to the native hairs during a surgery and same applies to the eyebrow hairs too....though some doctor's opinions would be better...
Thanks for getting back to me, if there are hair follicles in the remaining skin underneath scabs, does this mean the graft is dislodged?

Hi all
As you can see, I had eyebrows before the eyebrow transplant.
The surgeon incised hair in between these follicles. These native follicles are non-existent post-operation; Is this due to shock loss?
Is there a possibility the grafts shed immediately after the operation?
I have attached the pre-opp, 1-day post opp and 7-day post-operation pictures.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Wishing blessings and love to all my brothers.
My scabs are starting to come and I see small hairs in place.
I had thick eyebrows pre-surgery and noticed immediately after surgery these areas disappeared.
The surgeon transplanted in-between the existing follicles.
Can an eyebrow transplanted hair permanently destroy native hair or is that more than likely shock loss?
Have there been any studies on this?
Let me know your thoughts

I am intrigued because I have seen examples of necrosis from fillers, but never after an eyebrow transplant.
Does anyone have sources of any studies on this?
Kind regards,

Hi,
I hear many stories of scalp necrosis due to dense packing etc.
Have there ever been any reported cases of eyebrow necrosis following an eyebrow hair transplant?
Would be keen to know.
Thanks in advance!

I followed up a recent case lately that had a transplant in Turkey. Unfortunately the area did not grow too. It is quite sad when this happens. The problem is that in most cases, this complication is purely technical and as a result of exaggerating the density in the recipient area.
Did you successfully repair this case?

Could you elaborate, what are the subtle signs of necrosis?
I hear this frequently, that you can get the necrosed area transplanted again; have you heard of any successful applications of this? Thanks in advance!
