Your 4 month looks better than what it might look for me. Im at 100 day post HT with Dr Resul getting almost the same 6k grafts. You may have an edge as looking at your pre op pictures i can say you had more hair than me on top. I was complete bald-with little exceptions in the name of small single hairs. Also, not taking finasteride..only Dr Resul's once a day tablets. Would love to see your 6 month results!

Any reason you're not taking Fin? What's the name of the medication you're taking instead?

I've heard not taking Fin or MIn after a HT is bad news after a few years, since you'll continue to lose same as before.

  2. Wow nice, you're right, i wouldn't have been able to tell unless you expressly told me it had been removed from that area!

Can i ask about your medication? Were you on medication before the treatment at all, and if so for how long? And have you seen any results from the medication?

Also, are you using oral or topical, and did you have to stop for a bit in the build up to your HT?

Can't wait to see how much more you progress! You've given me faith in my HT journey lol

  3. Hey @Bald47,

I just had a consultation with Dr Yaman and he recommended 6000 grafts for me too, and from your pictures it looks like we're balding in a very similar way!

Dr Yaman said I would also need to use 30% of my beard in the transplant, and it looks like you've done similar. Do you know how much was used?

Also, would you mind posting some recovery photos of your beard doner area along with your bi-weekly updates, if its not too much trouble?

Reason I ask is because I love my facial hair and am nervous of how it will look/recover after some of it is removed!

Also, can I ask - did they only remove the beard hair on the neck/throat area, and avoid the face hair?

Appreciate your detailed post, and look forward to tracking your recovery progress in the future! Good luck!
