Dr Nader 2800 Grafts - Former SMP patient

    Hello!

Wanted to post my before and after HT surgery pics.

I feel like I’m somewhat a unique case because I went in already having SMP. While I liked what SMP did for me (got in 2020), I still missed my hair.

Growing up, I always had a widows peak. But the SMP artist did a good job at staying conservative with the hairline AND the ink color. Making sure to not go too dark. If I could give any advice on SMP, make sure to do your research. Got somewhere reputable and pay a little extra.

Now for the HT, I had to grow my hair out for 3 weeks before the procedure. Which was weird for me after shaving bald for 3+ years. But Nader needed to see where my actual MPB was at.

Meeting with Dr Nader was a treat. Made sure to answer all my questions and made me feel confident about aligning my hairline with my SMP placement- while staying conservative. He also said the SMP would help with density.

The plan was to go in and get at least 2600 grafts. He ended up getting 2800 and covered some of my temple area too.

I felt next to no pain - even with anesthesia. But I’m used to needles and nothing will beat the pain of a large stomach/chest tattoo haha.

Overall, I think it turned out really well. Dr Nader was incredible. Very knowledgeable and wants the best results - while keeping your donor area intact. He and I messaged daily for a week after the procedure. And now talk once per month for updates. He was in the room at ALL times. There is a reason he is booked out for 15 months. He’s an amazing doctor.

It’s been 2 months already since my procedure (sorry for taking so long to post). But it’s hard to see much progress with the SMP. I’m also still shaving my head with a 2mm guard. Started doing that after 4 weeks (with doc approval).

Currently taking .5mg fin, 2.5mg min, biotin, 2% ketoconazole shampoo.

Added a good amount of pics showing Naders work. The first 5 pics are immediately BEFORE the HT. Donor area looked completely normal after 10 days. Also, I added one picture of what I looked like with just SMP (where I’m kneeling with my daughter).

I’ll post a 3 month update around the middle of December.

    Thanks!

Could you post pics of the back of your head? Since you keep it short, would like to see what it might look like. I keep it short. Have not had HT.

My post did say 2 weeks ago, so that’s 2 weeks worth of growth.

    I reread it, you did.
BTW you could just buzz the sides and back yourself with any hair clippers. It isn't hard.

You happen to have pics of just after getting it cut? I want to see more results using zero guard. Want to know what it would look like if I got a HT done. I like to keep it short.

There are studies that have been done that prove the majority of finasteride sides are nocebo. I am also anxious and read way too much online, so it's more likely my sides are nocebo than not. My dick works great (incredible really) on Cialis so I see it as a valid fix to what is likely nocebo.

What you have described there is just speculation so I was just confirming if there was something I was missing.

If you can't get it up because and need Cialis then should get of fin. Your mind isn't the problem, it is the fin.

  4. You dont have enough hair and it is not thick enough to get those results. You also need to shift more in front.

I have a little more hair than you but similar thickness. I have been thinking about getting just very middle done from front to back. Seeing how it looks then maybe adding SMP.
Here is very bad photoshop of what I mean on one of the pictures you provided.

Does anyone have any examples they can share of patients who had a lot of FUE grafts (4000+) with a shaved head, and if the FUE scars are really noticeable?

Perhaps it is just my physiology, I had 4000+ grafts with a small punch with a recommended surgeon with a long wait list. My results were good, my donor was not overharvested, but when I recently shaved my head, the white specs from the extractions were quite visible in my donor. Perhaps my skin/hair contrast color makes them more noticeable, or it is just how my head healed. My surgeon said I healed well but some patients just have more noticeable scar healing pigmentation (or lack there of) than others.

I shaved my head because I wanted a small 1300 graft touch up procedure to increase density in the front.

Nevertheless, when I saw how noticeable the scarring was, I pretty much realized I better stay on finasteride, otherwise if I lose the hair on top it'll look ridiculous with my donor area if I shaved my head.

If I buzz the donor down to a 2 grade though for example the scarring cannot be noticed to the human eye.

This is my concern. Can you post pics? would be very helpful.

    Hello,

can someone tell me how many Grafts an average person would need for a coverage of NW 6 to NW 3?

I think the most NW 6 who did a hairtransplant end like a NW 2.

But there won't be much to save, right? Maybe 1000-1500 Grafts?

Just post pics of your head. Along with age and if on meds.

Ofcourse thats the duty of doctor to explain pro and cons and evrythng about the medication he/she is prescribing to their patients and i said side effects as such are rare and very less percentage of people face that...i never said no side effects

I didn't say you said there were no side effects.
I said this part of what you wrote is incorrect: "if you are the unlucky one and get some side effects than you can stop the medication and you will be fine."

Clearly there are those who have persistence problems after quitting fin.

Is it...than mite be all the doctors are lying and fda cleared it widout considering that...this all the lawsuit and evrythng goes on and on with many drugs ...we can only do is to believe good surgeons and fda cleared medication ...and they clearly mention the drug adverse effects....evry drug has side effects ..even paracetamol and anti biotics and anti inflammatory drugs have side effects bt we all have to take it at some point ...there are people who take anti inflammatory drugs for whole life due to some physical issues ..and still its on use whether to take it or not and to see if it has any side effects on us or not...so considering pro and cons we can take our decision

No one said all the doctors were lying. Many just prescribe whatever is easiest. They don't do their own studies. Plenty of things have cleared the FDA then been found bad.

You said there was no risk. I said that isn't true there is a risk. Can disagree on how much risk.
People should know. If they want to continue then yes they can. They should just know all the possible outcomes.
