    Wow looking really good.

Did he explain why he split the procedure into 3 separate days? It sounds like it was only a few hours each day, so wondering what the purpose was of doing this over a 3 day period vs. one long day, especially with a relatively small number of grafts.

He is following the stick and place technique. This takes more time and honestly I (personally) wouldn't want to sit longer in a single day.

  2. I’ve had hair loss for 13 years; started on my vertex, later hair thinning become apparent on my frontal area. I’ve been on dutasteride for 6 years. Age mid-30s…

I prepared a list of good doctors in Europe and Turkey after researching mostly on this forum and a few other forums. My criteria of ideal clinic as follows:

    • Doctor must be involved with extraction & implantation.
    • Manual extraction & implantation, no automation
    • Shorter split sessions for maximum graft survival and patient comfort
    • At most 1 or 2 patients are performed in a day
    • Ethical behaviour, e.g. reject non-suitable candidates, no overselling

One thing I particularly liked about Dr. Keser’s work is good coverage with relatively fewer grafts. On the other hand, an additional surgery is needed to cover my vertex 6 months later because he doesn’t implant grafts in high numbers. Personally, that’s okay since I prefer to see how my donor area will look like after 1st surgery.

I called Dr. Keser and got an appointment shortly after since I was flexible and someone else had cancelled their appointment earlier.

    My surgery was split into 3 days: 650 + 650 + 500 grafts = 1800 total.

Dr. Keser was involved during entire procedure with help from his technicians for handling and sorting grafts. His technicians were very kind and experienced; working with him for many years which made me more confident about the procedure.

Each day started with washing and sterilising my head. The next phase was extractions which I think lasted about an hour or so. After a short brake, the implantation phase lasted about 2 hours or so. During implantation, Dr.Keser makes an incision and puts a graft right afterwards, then repeats this for each graft. Finally, my head was bandaged with antibiotics overnight and to be opened the next day. Overall, the process was painless except the part being injected with a local anaesthetic. I took 3 tablets of paracetamol to relieve stinging feel after surgery each day.

My head was washed on 4th & 5th day and put an antibiotic cream. Around this time some swelling occurred on my face which went away after several days. 6th day and onwards, I washed my head with a baby shampoo every day and put the antibiotic cream twice a day. My head was clear of scabs about 1 week after.

Overall experience was very professional and I felt like each graft was handled with meticulous care. Price was €3.5 per graft.

Progress photos until now, I will continue to post updates later:
