Good write-up mate. Do they let you go back to the hotel for the eve, with slits in your head but no grafts? Is that standard?
When they did mine they left me with the slits unfilled overnight then did the insertions the next day. I'm not sure if this was their standard procedure or due to them being too busy to complete the transplant on the same day. They were very busy around the time of my transplant

I thought the same, the density doesn't look as good as it should. Hopefully the combination with smp will create the desired look

It looks good, the other advantage of having at least some hair (implanted or not) in the smp area is that it feels real if someone touches it. Your hair looks longer than a buzz tho

Hi guys,
I do understand the frustration of the ongoing delays and I just want to reassure you that such delays were beyond anyone’s control.
We did have multiple issues with suitable volunteers in terms of their availability and follow up potential, as well as the ongoing issue of making sure that we have a reliable and constant supply of the medication. In addition to that, it did take us some time to arrange and purchase any missing equipment that we need for a more objective study. It is important at this stage to carry out decent trials - for purposes of being objective and as scientific as possible.
Having said that, there has been steady progress taking place in the background. We do have two volunteers. One Volunteer will have a full FUE with Verteforfin, while the other one will have Verteporfin injected in the bald areas of his scalp to see if there could be any potential improvement or growth. We have also managed to engage with a suitable supplier that can provide us with Verteporfin. I am placing a test order with them in these coming days to make sure their process is smooth. We have also received the photography device we need for research. I have booked two dates for these two trials- but I will refrain from mentioning the exact dates so as not to cause any further disappointment for now.
Finally, I have seen some nice recovery photos from our FUE patient who had his donor fully injected with Verteporfin after 2-3 months ago, and his donor is looking good. I will check with him if he wishes for his photos to be shared.
Thanks for your efforts on this

how many times per week you wash your hair with nizoral and how much time do you keep it in your scalp every time before washing?
I use it only about once every 10 days and leave it in for about 4 or 5 minutes

"a lot"
Seconded. That looks to be an impressive doner area, especially considering how many grafts you've had taken out
-
Your donor is weak. Perhaps you could consider a transplant partly comprised of beard hair combined with SMP. You would have to keep your hair short but something is better than nothing
-
Interesting, though as you point out it's a small scale study. As I read it the study focused on those with Alopecia but perhaps it could work with MPB

I'd say that looks pretty average and not 'bottom half'. I'm about 6 weeks ahead of you and there's not a lot of difference in our growth. I too can get a little concerned under harsh lighting - it shows just how far I have to go...then I get a lift seeing my progress in 'kinder' light. Same clinic btw

Doesn't look like it to me...relax

You should be fine after this length of time. Especially if the bump was only in your donor area

I've just read the entire thread and I have to say I'm amazed at your progress. Are you able to attribute your growth to any one if your treatments in particular?

Looking good so far...

Couple of stragglers at the front from my natural hairline. Doesn't really bother me, i figured I will see how it all looks in 10-12months before getting concerned about anything (I read often that is easier said than done!)
Redness seems a bit more prominent in person (compared to photos) for some reason, but is slowly getting better.
Keep hold of them! It's nothing to be concerned about

Best of luck over the next few months. Not too much redness given yo're only at 17 days. You seem to have a few lonely hairs at the front?

You had yours done same place and almost same day as me - and our progress has been almost identical. I've also had a bit of shedding the last few days having held on to it until then. I'm not sure about the bulbs, I haven't lost any as far as I've noticed. Hopefully someone else will chip in regarding that
