11 months update:

Really happy that the crazy hairline that Visus created is gone.

That can still happen with full on bright light. 
but you can see that the old failed hairline is now completely gone. And there is now good density growing + thickness of the hairs. Really happy so far!! 

[6 months + 2 weeks update]

Last month was a good month. There is still more growth to come. All in all I'm really happy. If I look back at the starting pictures I get a bad feeling instantly. What a horror sight was that! 

Pictures are both taken during wet and dry conditions. 

It's been 2 weeks overdue but here's the update. 

That's gonna look phenomenal bro. You'll have a very natural result. 

You show the crown, but the crown is not treated right? Or am I mistaken? 

I'd love to see more of the hairline. From what I can see it looks good and seems like it's getting fuller and fuller. 

Looks really good indeed. And you are a slow grower. I’m also a slow grower and it’s nice to see that you saw massive improvements after month 7. I’m almost at 6 months and expecting improvements as well. 
 

Did you ever get anxious if your hair would actually grow to your liking?

During the operation he showed me all the follicles. 
I clearly saw the size difference between the multi and single grafts. He even showed me the difference between bigger and really soft single grafts. 
 

He placed the softest in front ofc. 
 

but I don’t remember how many single, and how many multigrafts he used. I think the front of the hairline was made with 500 ultra soft single grafts. 

Sorry to say bro, but your density is crap at the moment. In order to get a decent result you need a good doc and a lot of grafts.

Mig you just want a fuller hairline 1500 will do. But to cover the whole scalp 3k would seem to be the absolute minimum imho. 
 

Next to that. Munib from Fuegenix could fix you up. But it’s out of your budget. But think well. You don’t want to mess up a second surgery and lose more donor hair/time. So sometimes it might be better so save up some more money and get a proper repair surgeon. 
 

forget about graft counts, only think about the quality of the surgeon and the results he’s had so far. 
 

its a lot of money, effort, time and hair you spent, so chose carefully.

You can't be serious right? Check the first page for the before pictures, it was really horrible, so unnatural! 

[5 Month update]

It's been 5 months already. Time goes by quickly. Since two weeks I can see improvement in the density of the hair. I can't wait for the next month. 

Insane result. Looks so natural!

In the end none had to be removed. He adjusts just 1 multi graft. But because he lowered my hairline by about a milimeter, he had not to remove any older grafts, luckily! 

My hairline was not placed very low on the first HT, so I had room to make it a little bit lower, it looks very very natural now. Everyone thinks I am 27 while im already 34... 

I actually think it's a good thing. It shows confidence in his results. He asks to post immediately after the surgery, so the outcome can go both ways. If he consistently showed bad results, people would notice and they won't go to him. But if his results are constantly high quality (like his results are right now) then it will attract people to him. 

If only all the hair mills asked their patients to post here... man, so many other people would be saved from harm!! 

I feel so sorry for you man. I also have had a failed HT 1,5 years ago. Just as you I went to a renowned surgeon to get the job done. 

I can only imagine how crappy it feels to have another HT that is not according to your desires. 

I'm almost at 4,5 months in and I see very little improvement. But the doctor said it will only start growing right about now, so I should see massive improvements the coming weeks. 

But there is just massive fear that it will not be good enough, because it has failed once before. Same with you, you just hope things will get better, but deep inside you know things have not gone as you wanted them to go. 

What will you do next? Will you get another free touch up? It's very frustrating to go through this again...

Also did you remove any grafts from the hairline or just added new ones to blend them in?

I’m 34 and do not take meds. 
 

Because the bad hairline was not too low, the surgeon placed new ones in front and in between. He created a whole new hairline. 
He looked for badly placed grafts, but luckily they had the right grow direction. So none had to be removed. 
 

[Month 4 update]

So, exactly 4 months have passed. I have been looking at my previous progression pictures and I noticed that my shock loss started at around 14 days. So I guess that is a normal time period. 

That also means that the next month I can expect some new results. 

It's already getting more dens, very slowly. But the whole hairline needs to regrow. I can't wait for that to happen.

On multiple topics I've read that the 4,5 month mark was the time where they were most insecure. Usually because of the lack of growth and hoping it will start anyway. Then, from month 5,5 onwards you usually see great results. 

So I guess this next month will be the last uncomfortable month. And then I can finally celebrate some great growth. 

As always, I take pictures in the worst possible conditions. I want you to clearly see the density with a LOT of light and the 'worst' angles. This is most honest. I also show one where I take a flattering picture, and you see how good the results look already. So beware of other pictures from other users that are taken too flattering. 

Thanks for your reply. I guess for 3 months it looks good already. But I really hope (expect) there will be more density in a few months.

[3 month update]

It's already been 3 months since my repair. Time has flown by. The first 2 months were amazing with very little shedding. But the last few weeks I have experienced good shedding and shock loss. Unfortunately. I thought I would be one of the 2%. But it seems like the shedding can happen relatively late in the process.

Hopefully it will start to regrow soon. Probably in about 1-2 months I will see new hairs coming. 

Honestly this is one of the hardest periodes. It's hard to wait before you see some growth, the shock loss makes things look pretty unnatural, and all you can do is wait and hope for a good result, which can take another 2 months before it's even starting to be visible. 

But there is nothing I can do than wait. So I'll try to be patient for a few more months. After that it will all have been worth it. 

As you can see in the pictures, the old failed Visus hairline is back again. All the new hairs in between and in front have fallen out. So it looks pretty unnatural at the moment. But my hair is just long enough to hide it so it's not THAT visible. It's also a little bit denser than before the repair, because not all implanted hairs have fallen out.

Oh wauw, I’m so sorry for you. It looks very bad. How on earth can someone with that much experience be so lazy with planting in lines.. 

I’d avoid this doctor as much as possible. 

Fuegenix in the Netherlands is good. But one of the most expensive in the world. If money is no option you could check in with him. 
 

He did my repair job 3 months ago. 

Don’t you rather wait with the 5th HT until you’rea not older? Just in case?

I did DHI on my first HT. It was a total failure. My second repair HT was FUE. That looks so far like a great succes. 
 

lesson: don’t focus on the method, focus on the surgeon. They make or break the results. The methods are highly similar. 

Looks very good. Very clean and seems like a great density! Good luck with the recovery, just 3 more months and you will have forgotten about the whole HT.
