Did you have any side effects and how long did it take to see growth? Did your thinner hair shed and regrow or just get thicker?
I have been taking 1.25mg of OM over the past 3 weeks. I had sides initially during the first week such as light-headedness but it subsided with continued use.

Fancy trying this out too, but its not approved in the UK, the side effects do worry me, but worth giving it a try to see if it effects me as I have had nothing from 1mg Finasteride for the last year tbh
Same. I was going to start oral minoxidil until i came across this article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9577643/. Even at low doses it can be dangerous

Actually I reached out to Dr Konior 2 years ago. Very nice guy and yes he’s ethical. I sent my pictures and he told me he work with me but it wouldn’t be good coverage , be basically said it’s not worth going through with it. I was bummed out , then a year later I did my research on this site and I started seeing 3 names popping up with good results and one was Dr Sethi.
Also try and reach out to Dr Felipe Pitella and see what he has to say.

I recently started using topical dutasteride
I think that not taking any medications following your hair transplant is probably what caused the poor results.

Didn’t get an explanation, but he wanted for me to wait another month. I’m open to any ideas from him, just waiting on him when he has the time.
I guess what frustrated me was 30 mins before the actual call , his assistant contacts me that Dr Sethi can not make it due to jet lag and wants to set up the time again for tomorrow. I agreed, although I wish they had let me known sooner.
I go out to meet business partners for lunch, and 30 mins later, his assistant sends me a message that Dr Sethi is ready now for the call. I told the guy, I’m out already , let’s just talk tomorrow as planned.
From the texts I had back and forth with Dr Sethi , it seems he’s accusing me of trying to get something out of it. Not sure what he means by that, I guess he’s not happy I have posted my experience so far on here.
This site was created so patients can come on here and provide their experiences with the Doctors they had the procedures with, so potential patients can learn and decide where to go.
Dr Sethi is upset thinking I said his clinic is a hairmill , it’s not a hairmill, it’s quite the opposite, they have been very nice to me, I felt like I was at home when I went there, but as far as communications and the results I have so far , well the pictures speak for themselves.
By the way are you taking any meds such as finasteride or oral minoxidil?

Not just a hair transplant bt evry surgery has its risk and chances of failure ...this risks gets narrower if u r under good hands...bt at the end thr r so many factors for any sugery to get failed...so its on us tht hw our condition is and how much willingness we have to do it and hw much acceptance we have if it goes wrong...thts why i think

I agree. 'The expected result is never certain. Medicine itself is not an exact science so it is impossible to predict the outcome of any surgical procedure'.

Seeing results like this puts me off from having a hair transplant. I really hope things get better for you! All the best

I'm on 5mg per day prescribed by my dermatologist.
Have you experienced any side effects from OM? I have my surgery with Dr. Pitella scheduled for the of March and he wants me to take OM, but I'm worried about the potential side effects.

I have noticed dark under eye circles since I started using topical minoxidil. Dark under eye cycles seems to be a known side effect 😭

wow. Amazing. I have my surgery booked with Dr Pitella on the 4th of March. Do you take Finasteride or oral minoxidil?
-
I would recommend Felipe pittella in your case

Dr Pitella's work is among the best I've seen from any surgeon, particularly in Norwood 6 and 7s. He is up there with the best.

Hello guys. Great forum!
I'm gonna get smp in the uk and my research tells me that the best three places are Brandwood (Paul Clark), Skalp, and Vinci. These last two also always appear at the top of search lists. I just wanted to ask if anyone has stories to tell about any of these places and if they can recommend any particular practitioner at Skalp or Vinci. I've been looking through the forums but there's not so much info on them as far as I can tell. I will absolutely detail my story on this forum. Probably it begins January.
What I'm gonna do is go for a patch test first, I think that's a pretty good idea.
Also, after researching on inks, it seems that these days only organic ink or synthetic-organic ink is used (whatever that last one is!), and not the old style tatoo ink which can change colour. I can't get a handle on whether organic is best or synthetic organic, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has an expert opinion.
btw has anyone had face micro pigmentation?
The best SMP practitioner in the UK is Ollie hughes from appear natural
