There's a full thread about this and study being run by a doctor. My personal feeling is it isn't going to be revolutionary as regrowing all your donor hair or a majority. I would say at best and being optimistic it will regrow probably no more than 15% of hair and the primary benefit will be in scar healing to be less white dots and more pigmented to help blend in. The cost for that will be up in the air but likely not cheap.

I think it's going to be useful if it's not too expensive as an add on for HT patients but the limited scope of the study makes it hard to really see how it may benefit most people too. Although it holds some promise.

  2. So, I am planning on getting my Hair Transplant soon. So I know the obvious question will come pretty early: "Can we take pictures for promoting our business"

I am not a big social media person. I don't use social media. I don't like pictures.

But if the HT doctor can't use my pictures to promote his business, then what incentive does he have to do a good job? He might botch me because I refused to let him take pictures.

    AHHH

  3. I've noticed that people with afro textured hair especially tend to grow out their hair after getting a HT. This is done to give the illusion of density, because at lower level cuts, the difference in density in certain parts is clearly visible.

I believe the same might be true for those with Caucasian hair texture. When you get a buzzcut, do you have regions that look much thinner?

SO, how hard is it to achieve this uniform density?

I just saw you’re the same patient who’s young and unwilling to take medication and wait. At this point, there’s no use in giving you advice, if you refuse to do the first step to stopping hair loss. Hair transplants are no cure. You will end up with net gain, unless you treat hair loss at it’s core.

Understanding how thorough and ethical Eugenix is with their business practices, there is a good chance that if you lacked preventative care in combination with a young age they may very well turn you down as a client. To that point, many clinics won't turn you down, and if they don't, those are precisely the ones you want to stay as far away from as possible. FIX YOUR PREVENTATIVE CARE FIRST!

Finasteride - 1mg daily - Topically or orally. This is your base foundation for hair loss prevention.

Minoxidil - daily - again topically or orally.

    Microneedling - once weekly

Follow my Journey with Eugenix and Dr Arika Bansal!

I have been taking medication for the past 3 months consistently. I started off with RU58841 and saw quite a bit of regrowth, but believe I got some heart/lung side effects from it. So had to come off it. I am currently on Finasteride and minoxidil, but haven't seen any regrowth, just maintenance. Bisanga did say apply medication for another year, but I don't feel like waiting around for that long to get my hair sorted out. I am young and everyone around my age just makes pokes fun at my hairline. So I want to get this taken care of ASAP.

    Thanks for tag @mister_25.

At this point, I think it's so well established that Asli Tarcan might destroy your hair (and your life) that it's a waste of time to say anything other than DON'T GO THERE. Just don't.

Check out mine and others' experience on Youtube (Rate This Clinic). Watch the Mayham2020 one in particular, he's a black guy.

Sadly, despite people watching and commenting on my videos, I see those same commenters a few days later on Asli Tarcan HT journey videos fawning over the results and saying they're considering going.

    Don't do it.

Okay.  Got it, avoid Asli Tarcan.

I see you are getting a repair job with Dr Mwamba. How much does he charge per graft?

  6. I've noticed that with a lot of african american guys who have undergone hair transplant, their hair grows out in a weird way after the transplant. Is this a result of a bad transplant or is this sort of thing unavoidable. Please take a look at the videos and skip ahead. You can see the hair sticks out in a strange way.
