I'm not even going to sugarcoat this, that looks really bad and could really impact your growth given how dry the skin is.  Did this pop up only after the transplant, if this was therefore before, no surgeon should of performed this procedure

Hey man, always suffered from annoying dandruff but nothing to the extent of what's shown above. It makes sense that after a hair transplant and all the trauma the scalp goes through it would be common for an excess of the dandruff.

But it wasn't like this before the surgery no where close.

First of all, do you wash your scalp daily? If not, it’s highly advisable in your case.

secondly, gonna echo what everyone else said. This looks like seb derm and needs to be looked at by a doctor. The yellow flakes are usually a symptom of seb derm. Nizoral 1 or 2% shampoo a couple times a week should help clear this up.

how long ago did this start? Is it itchy?

I was told not to wash scalp daily heard its bad for hair.

Ive always had bad dandruff and sensitive skin. But not like what's shown in the pictures. Started maybe a couple weeks after hair transplant (June 17 my HT). It's not itchy at all.

Is Nizoral 1 over the counter or pre scribed.

    Thanks man for your help.

  3. Hey I'm about 1 month and couple weeks in wanted to share some pictures. I am very worried about the amount of crust/dandruff around my transplanted hairs. I am worried that it's effecting the growth. It looks very rough and un healthy. I drink 2-3 litres a day to take vitamins.

Is this normal please let me know or if someone else can relate

  4. Hello everyone,

Its been 1 month since my hair transplant was wondering if using a towel to dry my hair is a good idea. Reason I ask is I got minor adjustment to.my hair line and side temples. It seems as my side temples are less concentrated I wear caps when I go out and worried it may be taking hair away.

With a towel I'm worried I will cause extra damage if I use to dry.

    Thanks

  5. Hey, thanks for the response I have been dealing with dandruff for as long as I can remember mostly on the scalp area. Never the sides of my head. So that's why I was curious. If the hair transplant had anything to do with the new existing dandruff occurrence.

Water I drink 3-4 litres a day. T-gell I've never heard of tbh. I will check it out. Do you take vitamin d supplements if so has it helped

Some doctors recommend Aloe Vera gel on donor area, feel free to ask your doctor if it is ok to apply.

Yea I do but I was wondering how long should I expect this tenderness to stay with me. I understand it's different for everyone as people heal different just wondering a rough timeline to.expect

  7. Hello everyone it's been over 2 weeks since my HT. I am wondering how long does the donor area take to recover completely in regards of tenderness. It still feels little tight and sometimes unpleasant if I lay my head down to fast or put on a hat.

In regards to scaring its recovered nicely.

    Regards

Do you have the pre & post op photos from the clinic? They are usually good indicators of the work. Also, how many grafts did you have done?

Just messaged them for the pics I'll post as soon as I get them in. I'm assuming you've had yr hair transplant you seem very knowledgeable and I appreciate your insight.

  9. They had verbalized that they use single grafts for initial hairline backed with doubles however no microscope was used of my knowledge at the same time they could have I wasn't watching them while I was on the medical table. Doctor oversaw everything in and out but it was techs. As far has pics I just started removing scabs so it looking rough with some.scabs remaining. Will continue tomorrow for removal. But I can attach a few pics after the op.

Is there a reason you're not responding to my questions but you are to everyone else's? My questions are in genuinely good faith.

I missed it, had went back and forth with a few clinics at the time I made my decision, they answered everything in regards of questions about results, techniques and recovery. They've been doing it for a while looked at previous work/results looked proper. That's what I based it off of.but now after finding this forum I would of continued to look and communicate with others. I'm hoping I get a good result but I am a tough critic so we shall.see.

If not I know have this resource in which I can review for potential future HT
