We have the general idea that with topical minoxidil, the hairs that grow because of the product are dependent on it and would be lost if one stops using minoxidil.
Do minoxidil tablets work the same way? As in if you stop taking the tablets bye bye to the hair that is dependent on them?

Is there no one else that knows?
Gillenator? Melvin?

Yes that can happen, that is called anagen effluvium and some medications can trigger it major hairloss in just days/weeks, clomid is one of them.
Now that you stopped the meds the hair for sure will regrow, it will take 5-6 months before you look ok and 10months to be close to fully recovered

Thanks for the mention. In such cases, I would rather get a biopsy to see what might be the cause of this abrupt cycling. It could be chronic TE or some anagen cycle abnormalities. A biopsy can tell more about the character of Anagen/telogen ratios etc
Thank You I understand and getting a biopsy makes a lot of sense
In the meantime, as there is a lot of experience in this forum, is there any idea what this could be or has anyone encountered a similar situation?
Any educated guess would be greatly appreciated

Can a HT change skin pigmentation?

Fellas,
I had a HT on the hairline from V-shape receded hairline to straight hairline (I am white) and I remember being very red in the recipient area for a long time, and I went to the sun and got quite tan in between 3-4 months post op
The HT grew well, but I now a few years later I realize since I am now very tan, I see that the area on the hairline and corners where HT is placed is whiter and pale compared to the sun tanned rest of the face and forehead is, does this sound strange?
