If you were experiencing regrowth or other at least, halted your hair loss using finasteride, you could very well lose whatever hair you’ve retained or restored when you stop. Using alternative DHT blockers that are not proven and not nearly as effective may or may not be strong enough to keep whatever existing here you’ve retained with finasteride. 

how long have you been using finasteride? Sometimes, side effects from the medication will go away with ongoing use of finasteride.  Other times, you’ll have to stop the medication before the side effects go away.

I have been on finasteride for over a year the side effects aren’t worth it I just don’t want my transplant to look weird.

Those other supplements seem pointless to be honest. 

Lowered sex drive and my erection is not as strong and I don’t take it everyday now 

I am past 3 months since my fue transplant. I started getting sides from finasteride and I want to stop but I don’t want to lose my existing hair. A friend of mine told me he took these supplements that halted his hair loss no regrowth. The supplements are Palmetto Guard 1 softgel

*Astaxanthin 1 softgel

*Curcumin Elite- 1 capsule

*Optimized Resveratrol- 1 capsule

do you think these are safe to take for the grafts will they have any negative affects on my transplanted hair ?

Yea I wouldn’t ask that I know scalp massages doesn’t stop hair loss only finasteride we need a natural wya to stop hair loss 

I went to a massage parlor and the lady vigorously  massaged my scalp with oil it didn’t hurt it felt good I am 3 months in to my fue hair transplant will this have any affect or enough time passed already ?

I mean I don’t drink alcohol and I know it’s bad for your health but I’m going on vacation and I want to drink was just a concern if it will affect my hair transplant results.

Thanks for your response I just posted this question on Reddit and everyone said not to drink it is very bad for the hair transplant. But I am already 3 months in

Thanks a lot of people where saying that alcohol can ruin the results that’s why I was concerned 

I am going on vacation I will be drinking a lot of alcohol and everyday I am 3 months in to my transplant will this have any affect on my results? Or am I safe to drink how much I want

When my hair transplant falls it has like a j/hook shape or an L shape is this normal or does that mean that the graft is dead or the hair is going to grow nice ?

A little bit of dandruff will not effect your hair transplant progress or growth. Just be sure to follow your doctor’s postop instructions and in most cases, everything will be fine. New growth should begin approximately 3 to 5 months after surgery and will continue up until 12 to 18 months when your hair transplant is fully mature and your true results can be seen.

Do you suggest I use nizoral shampoo or just continue using baby shampoo ?

It should not have an effect on the transplants.  What shampoo are you using? It is typically the alcohol content which will dry the scalp and create the flakes.  Why not try baby shampoo? 

I am using Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo the dandruff doesn’t bother me I just hole it doesn’t affect the transplant.

It went away I just have a little red mark but it got much better should I be worried or it’s fine ?

It has been 55 days since my fue hair transplant and I have dandruff which started a few weeks ago. Will it affect my grafts or my hair from reaching full potential. Should I do something or just leave it. 

It has been 40 days since I had fue hair transplant. I wanted to know will doing my facial care routine affect my grafts such as microneedling my face putting on chemical peels and lotions putting in tretnoin retinol as well as electrolysis. Or am I just overthinking

It has been 40 days since my fue hair transplant and I grew a pimple like on my hair line. I don’t know if it is folliculitis or just acne i didn’t bump my head either. Will this red bump have any effect on my transplanted grafts ?
